Happy Nails - Mechanicville Genesis Matile: I don’t usually like to leave bad reviews for salons but I went here 7/9/23 only because my usual nail place was closed and I needed a new ANC set for my birthday trip, the guy doing my nails kept filing the ANC when it wasn’t cured yet and ended up putting five coats on my nails. The cuticle area on my left thumb was also bleeding by the time I left. I’m a cosmetologist who learned ANC with a system very similar to what they use there and ended up leaving before the guy could finish bc he was taking chunks out of the nails. I left with super porous and bumpy nails after over an hour and a half of being there. My fingers are also covered in nail glue from him putting a ton of glue under the nail tips and on the underside of my nails. Didn’t even wash off the powder or let him do a top coat, I just paid $40 and left. Very friendly staff and clean salon, and other women were leaving with amazing nails from other techs- if you do go just don’t get your ANC done by the guy, he doesn’t seem to understand how dip powder systems work.
Roni nails - Amsterdam Lily Brown: I just moved to the area so I decided to try this place out. I was highly impressed. This is the best nail salon I’ve ever been to. Although they were busy, they got me seated quickly. They have a huge variety of services. The lady that did my toes went out of her way to accommodate all my needs/wants. She was very gentle and did not hurt me at all. Very friendly and welcoming. Clean. I will be going back to this salon in the future.

However, the nails I received here were stellar. The time taken to perfect the shape really shows. I usually have some subtle design but went with a nude/pink this time so the manicure shines. Im so excited to have found my new forever place.
Coco Nail Spa - Scarsdale M Guilf: My wife and I go together to Coco every few months (she goes alone or with friends otherwise). Weve done this together as we moved all over the country (Florida, California, etc.) and as weve traveled overseas. Its a good couples bonding experience and it means I dont have terrible feet in bed with her. Just saying - I have experience, but Im not an "every three weeks" manicure person. Weve always been very happy with the cleanliness, the service, and the results at Coco. Im stunned by the claims of rudeness as the entire staff from the Manager to every technician Ive ever had has been so sweet and kind. Literally every single one. And Im a dude. Rough feet. Big. It would be easy to dislike providing for me. But theyre always kind and professional. One thing I will say is weve been going there long enough that they know well be kind to them, tip them well, show up on time to our appointments, and generally be a five-star customer (we hope). That may have influenced our experience. I do some reviews, but generally only when I want to say something important. It was important to me to defend them.
