However, during her stay, the staff continuously administered morphine without consulting our family. Within just two weeks, she lost her basic quality of life.
Beyond this, the staff were inattentive, only showing up to clean and feed her when family members were present—and even then, their care was minimal. This level of neglect is unacceptable. I had heard warnings that elderly patients rarely survive after being admitted to Franklin Hospital, and now I understand why. This facility needs to be held accountable.
