maria maria: They transfer you and transfer you to different people as if no one wants to do their job! Everyone who’s answered the phone sounds extremely ghetto and like they hate their job. They hung up on me twice and when I finally got through they had me on hold for over 30 minutes I had to hang up and call again and demand! That they get me through to my mother. The nurse taking care of my mother shows no sympathy! She acts like she’s here to do her “job” knows the system but shows no geneuine care for the patient. I’m really disappointed with their treatment. We asked for my mother to be rotated to avoid ulsers from laying in the same position for so long and the nurse said “it gets so busy” that we can’t always do it every 2 hours as it’s supposed to and didn’t even do it. I then told a different nurse and she acted on it immediately. A few hours Later we asked for her to be rotated again and the new nurse asked for us to leave the room, we asked her why?! When they have been rotating her infront of us every time. After the nurse asked us to leave the room she came and got us from the waiting room. I asked my mother how was their treatment and she made a frowning face as if she was not happy! I do NOT like this hospital!!! I swear I wish i could get her out of here and into a better hospital but I live all the way in Florida and came down to see my mother for 3 days being that I have to go back to work in Orlando Florida. This hospitals treatmemt is totally unacceptable! The 2 nurses names are Hanna and robin in ICU... they need to be retrained on how to properly deal with patients and their families! Absolutely NOT HAPPY.

Justine Powers: Went to this place for an injured foot, unfortunately that wasn’t the concentration of my visit once I provided my medication list. They put a focus on my mental health instead of my foot. A nurse came in and gave me a shoe for my foot but didn’t explain how long to wear it and the doctor didn’t come back into the room without being requested. I felt like something was wrong so I went to the orthopedic where I was informed that my foot is actually broken in multiple places. I will not be returning to Ellis medical center.
    Daven Savla - Schenectady
Susan D: Ive seen Dr. Savla many times over the last 4 years. Every single time he is patient and he answers all of my questions. I have a lot of medical issues and he has helped me to not become overwhelmed by it all. I am so glad I found a great doctor.

Conifer Park: Inpatient Addiction Treatment Drug & Alcohol Detox & Rehab Center In New York
Bousso Mbaye: Conifer Park is one of the best rehabs I have ever been to. The staff are attentive and helpful, they work hard to anticipate my needs and follow through on them. I would recommend this place to anyone struggling with addiction because it is a safe and clean place to recover; the groups are on point and the amenities are really lovely. The security guards make me feel safe and they are kind to me. They get me everything I need.

Donna Sherwin: I have never been too well now Balltown Rd., Schenectady, NY. But from feeling poorly for over a week, I wanted to make sure it wasn’t in my lungs. I am so happy I stopped here The check-in was a breeze. I waited in my own car and was called when it was my turn to minimize the germs. The room was spotless. Everyone was super professional. I would come back here again.
    Jennifer Henson, MD - Schenectady
    Jennifer Henson, MD
C: Dr. Henson was hands down one of the best doctors Ive ever seen. Until I saw her I thought that doctors who actually cared about the people they saw were a myth, and she proved me wrong in the best way. When I first started seeing her I was going through one of the hardest times in my life. I had been struggling with medical issues that no one would take seriously and as soon as I started seeing her that all changed. She took me seriously when others had brushed me off. She set me up with referrals to specialists to have everything investigated after years of being told that there was nothing wrong with me and being sent home in pain. It had gotten to the point that I felt like maybe I was crazy and that there was actually nothing wrong with me. And when I told her that I was depressed because of what I was going through and didnt have coverage for mental health services she took care of it and made sure I was able to get started on medications that I desperately needed to get me through those dark times. I dont know that I would still be here today if she hadnt helped me as much as she did. Her kindness, expert care, and sheer willingness to help saved me from myself. It was debilitating, both mentally and physically to be in the amount of pain I was, and to have no answers for anything. To be treated like I was fine for so long when I clearly wasnt is something that was legitimately traumatic. Because of her care and understanding I finally got a diagnosis for a congenital defect that had been destroying my life from the moment I was born. And anytime I had issues with my coverage making scripts too expensive she worked with me to figure out where they could be sent that would make them affordable. The only reason shes not my primary care physician still is because of me having to move. If I could have brought her with me I would have. Im still in the process of resolving everything due to the move, but thanks to her I was finally able to get the ball rolling on and am now being taken seriously when I get seen. Dr. Henson, if you see this review I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are a blessing to any patient lucky enough to have you.
Ellis Family Practice Associates - Schenectady
Kristen Rosa: In my 38 years, I have never walked out on a medical appointment. I had such a miserable experience this morning with Dr. Sushma Prathipati that I left and will never go back. I’ve been chronically ill for years and unfortunately am on several medications to manage my symptoms. It has taken me a considerable amount of time to get on a regimen that allows me to live a semblance of a life. Dr. Prathipati questioned nearly all of my medications. She was also insulting my intelligence, by asking if I knew all of the side effects of my medications. Yes, I am aware of them. I’m also aware that any POTENTIAL side effects are outweighed by the benefits of said medications. She said, “You might have some doctors who will give you whatever you want, but that’s not how we do things here.” Dr. Prathipati made it crystal clear that if I were a patient of hers, she would deny me medications that keep me from suffering every day. “First do no harm,” right? Apparently not for her. Her bedside manner was atrocious. She should find another line of work. edit: I just had the opportunity to review my chart and the “good doctor’s” notes. First of all, she made it sound as if she only questioned me on one of my medications, when she basically questioned every single one, and made snarky remarks about all of them. Not only that, but I made it crystal clear as to why I was originally prescribed one of my long-term medications, which was NOT the reason that she put in her notes. Instead, she made up her own diagnosis: one that no other doctor has given me since I’ve been prescribed said medication. And to no one’s great surprise, she didn’t make any notes on all of the rude remarks she made. Maybe she doesn’t find them relevant, but I do. I will be filing an official complaint with the hospital regarding her lack of professionalism (among other things).
Sapio Nancy C MD - Schenectady
Planned Parenthood - Schenectady Center - Schenectady
Sara Maxwell: It’s only been one day since my procedure but so far so good. Pain and bleeding are minimal. Everything went well and I am so grateful for the staff at planned parenthood schenectady. From the receptionist at the front desk, to the doctor, everyone was so respectful, non judgmental and welcoming. The RN who explained everything and took my medical history was very reassuring, as were the nurses in the waiting area where women are waiting for their procedures or recovering. The RN who works with the anesthesiologist is also excellent, the nurse assisting the doctor as well etc. I mean they all work so well together as a team. And as awful and heartbreaking as it is to be in the situation of needing a procedure like this, this team really makes the experience as comfortable as possible. I was so worried and anxious in the days leading up to my appointment, I’m just so appreciative that everyone was so kind to me and they all seem to really care about their patients. And as promised, I made it home safely to my family so for that I am forever grateful. Thank you.
    Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital - Schenectady
    Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital
Chris Gottschalt: In November of 2023 my wife Kimberlee was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. As a result she suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury and was air-lifted to Albany Medical Center. After about three weeks she was transferred to Sunnyview. She transferred back and forth a couple of times. She spent a total of three months equally divided between the two. As an inpatient she received Occupational, Speech and Physical Therapy 5-6 days a week. After returning home in February of 2024 she has received therapy as an outpatient. The care she received at Sunnyview has been exemplary. Both from a medical standpoint and her therapy sessions, the staff has been wonderful. She has made great progress thanks in large part to the wonderful care she has received.
