5 /5 Izabella Da Silva: The Skä•noñh - Great Law of Peace Center was amazing! It was only $5/adult (which was great, but I would’ve easily paid at least $12-15 because it was that incredible). The exhibits are very well put together and spaced out. I love that it has two levels that you can go through, and from what I believe I think it’s accessible (although don’t quote me on that because I’m not 100% sure). Most of the information has some form of audio and visual (making it accessible) although the special tools (press a button and it explains something) were offline due to COVID-19 (this didn’t hold us back as we just watched the videos that had CC and read the displays with explanations in writing). There was plenty of parking (which is free) and it took us about an hour or so to go through the exhibits and the Mission (big buildings) in the back. It was very educational while still being interesting and thought-provoking. I learned so much about the Haudenosaunee and I’m so glad we decided to visit when we did.

5 /5 Nidal: My history class from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) visited this location on a day in which the center was supposed to be closed, so I would like to give massive thanks to Andy and Tina for making special efforts to guide us and for sharing the stories of the Haudenosaunee with us. The experience that we had at this location was eye-opening, enlightening, and- for many of us- emotionally moving. These are stories that must be uplifted in our greater historical narrative. I cannot recommend that you visit this location enough. I guarantee that you will learn something you never knew before! On behalf of UTSA, thank you again to Tina, Andy, and everyone involved in operating and preserving this wonderful location.

Leon Liepke: Not much there there’s a few things there to look at and explore the old ways of the Erie Canal looks like it’s set up nice for boy or Girl Scouts to learn and earn their badges there is a store but only open certain hours. Large pavilion for gatherings with a fire pit

Baltimore Woods Nature Center - Marcellus

Crystal Wolfe: This Nature Center is absolutely gorgeous! The woods there are beautiful. They have a live turtle named Fern and lots of birds to view. Their gift shop is nice and they have a great winter Market once a month. Come check it out!

Clinton Square Ice Rink - Syracuse

Kathy P: We took a day trip and walked around Clinton Square when the water wasnt frozen. It is a lovely area with beautiful buildings surrounding it. It would be great to see on the winter time with ice and snow.

Franklin Square Park - Syracuse

Dan Marafino: One of the nicest areas of the city. Plan on competing with wedding shoots and prom shoots in their respective seasons on the weekends. Theres a very small piece of paper on the edge of the park that will tell you when its rented out. Nice place to relax and read a book or just hang out. Safe area, coffee shop right across the street, and plenty of seating.

Erie Canal Monument - Syracuse

Cyndi McNamara: Nice bike path along Erie Blvd - Monument at the corner of Teall. Would like to see a historical marker or plaque to explain the monument and pieces of stone along the way. Nothing as of June 2021.

Far Shot Syracuse (Axe Throwing, Archery, and Knife) - Syracuse

Ebony Finn: Bill is a great help! Makes it fun, and encouraging. Great vibes, and instructions. Had my first experience, and definitely will be coming back. He also gave us some cool perks for my birthday. Definitely recommend! Very welcoming and inviting!

Ny State fair - Syracuse

Miriam Rose: I enjoyed the fair a lot this year. The dinosaur exhibit was so fun to take my son to. The food didn’t disappoint at the eatery as well. My one suggestion is to park in parking lots or get a ride because the shuttles have long lines and with traffic, you can be waiting awhile to leave the fair. Luckily this year we got a ride to and from the fair.

Three Falls Woods - Manlius

Chan Komagan: Located in Dewitt/Manlius outside Syracuse, three falls woods is a good place for some hiking and connecting with nature. When you get to the intersection you take a right and walk all the way up to the top passing a few waterfalls (they are not that big) and you can loop around and come back to the bottom. The whole hike can be done in 30 minutes.
