5 /5 Olivia Harris: A small, cute park! This park is really nice for walking. There are several walking paths that go around the lower and upper part of the park. There is a nice view of the city of Syracuse from the upper park. There is a large pond in the center of the park. I wouldnt suggest fishing or getting into this water, but it doesnt smell bad and its nice to walk around. There is also a nice gazebo out over the water. On one side of the park there is a playground, and theres also a public pool. I cant speak to the pool or bathhouses though. I would not suggest going to this park after dark though due to its proximity to certain parts of the city. Its okay to visit during the day though.

Ny State fair - Syracuse

Miriam Rose: I enjoyed the fair a lot this year. The dinosaur exhibit was so fun to take my son to. The food didn’t disappoint at the eatery as well. My one suggestion is to park in parking lots or get a ride because the shuttles have long lines and with traffic, you can be waiting awhile to leave the fair. Luckily this year we got a ride to and from the fair.

Three Falls Woods - Manlius

Chan Komagan: Located in Dewitt/Manlius outside Syracuse, three falls woods is a good place for some hiking and connecting with nature. When you get to the intersection you take a right and walk all the way up to the top passing a few waterfalls (they are not that big) and you can loop around and come back to the bottom. The whole hike can be done in 30 minutes.

Long Branch Park - Liverpool

Donny B: Neat park venue that I used to go sledding at when I was a kid. Lots of neat events like Bavarian Fest, and the Scottish Games I have gone to for many years. A quiet place for a walk and a picnic here as well with their pavilions and fireplaces.

Prose the Writer: My fiancee and I found this set of steps and have committed to getting in shape together utilizing them. The are 8 flights of 18-25 steps each. The area is shaded by trees and very serene. Upon reaching the top, one can celebrated and take a victory lap around the circle before heading back down. I would caution potential users to be cognizant of their footing as some stairs are broken and debris falls on them as well.

Stephanie Crain: The museum is amazing, but the Come in from the Cold exhibit warmed my heart. I just loved this exhibit, it was everything I was hoping for when I saw it advertised! Great job with the displays, the accompanying photos and historical information! Loved this. So many great displays there to see but this was one I am glad I didnt miss!

Community Folk Art Center - Syracuse

Emad Rahim: A true gem in Syracuse. The first and only Black art gallery, which is also in partnership with Syracuse University (location off campus). Open to the community showing art by minority artists from all over the country. They also provide free after-school programs in music, dance, theater, art, and summer camps. The gallery is also used as an event space for community programs, student clubs, black box threater shows, and many more. Stop by and support history.
