5 /5 Amanda S: I have been going here for years to hike my dogs . The place is massive, and there are just so many trails, and theyre shaded, so its cooler for the pups in the summer. I can let them run free here, and theres a lake for them to cool off in. Its one of my favorite places to go hiking around Camillus And I would definitely recommend checking it out if youre not from the area and want a place to go hiking thats cool to explore . As for parking, there are a few different places to park .p I recommend parking off of Kasson Road or going by the Cummos meat market, as there are more parking spaces if you want to explore the area

4 /5 Theresa St. John: Oh, goodness, this was a creepy place to visit. If you love ghost stories, this would be a good place to visit. Split Rock, a hazardous munitions plant, unexpectedly exploded in 1918, brutally killing more than 50 men. Its filled with grafitti now, lots of riders around, inside dark and a bit unsettling towards the back.

3 /5 ESBirdnerd: Looks cool for sure, watch your step because there is broken glass everywhere. Lots of graffiti and trash. Inside the quarry was pretty cool. Saw a gun on the ground, and lots of no parking signs. Kinda underwhelming.

5 /5 Samuel Conklin: It was a great little hiking area. Parking can be tough as there isnt a clear parking area and there are no parking signs everywhere. BUT, I was able to park just down the road a bit and walk into the trail. Its honestly really cool to just see the old quarry. Id recommend the visit!

Crystal Wolfe: This Nature Center is absolutely gorgeous! The woods there are beautiful. They have a live turtle named Fern and lots of birds to view. Their gift shop is nice and they have a great winter Market once a month. Come check it out!

Clinton Square Ice Rink - Syracuse

Kathy P: We took a day trip and walked around Clinton Square when the water wasnt frozen. It is a lovely area with beautiful buildings surrounding it. It would be great to see on the winter time with ice and snow.

Franklin Square Park - Syracuse

Dan Marafino: One of the nicest areas of the city. Plan on competing with wedding shoots and prom shoots in their respective seasons on the weekends. Theres a very small piece of paper on the edge of the park that will tell you when its rented out. Nice place to relax and read a book or just hang out. Safe area, coffee shop right across the street, and plenty of seating.

Cyndi McNamara: Nice bike path along Erie Blvd - Monument at the corner of Teall. Would like to see a historical marker or plaque to explain the monument and pieces of stone along the way. Nothing as of June 2021.

Ny State fair - Syracuse

Miriam Rose: I enjoyed the fair a lot this year. The dinosaur exhibit was so fun to take my son to. The food didn’t disappoint at the eatery as well. My one suggestion is to park in parking lots or get a ride because the shuttles have long lines and with traffic, you can be waiting awhile to leave the fair. Luckily this year we got a ride to and from the fair.

Three Falls Woods - Manlius

Chan Komagan: Located in Dewitt/Manlius outside Syracuse, three falls woods is a good place for some hiking and connecting with nature. When you get to the intersection you take a right and walk all the way up to the top passing a few waterfalls (they are not that big) and you can loop around and come back to the bottom. The whole hike can be done in 30 minutes.

Long Branch Park - Liverpool

Donny B: Neat park venue that I used to go sledding at when I was a kid. Lots of neat events like Bavarian Fest, and the Scottish Games I have gone to for many years. A quiet place for a walk and a picnic here as well with their pavilions and fireplaces.
