1 /5 Tricia Zafuto: My family member was advised they accept her insurance. The same day as her appointment she was notified that they do not participate with her insurance. Additionally, she was then offered to pay out of pocket, which I’m pretty sure is against state guidelines. When she informed them that she cannot afford to do that, she was then threatened to be charged a late cancellation/no show fee. Further more receptionist said that other providers there participate with her insurance carrier but are not accepting new patients at this time. We asked to speak with the office manager and were transferred to an extremely rude woman named Sally who was talking over my family member and didn’t let her finish what she was saying. She also then contradicted the information given by her front desk staff and said no one there takes that insurance. I have never experienced(as I was listening to their conversation) such poor customer service, unprofessionalism and complete lack of empathy from a healthcare professional, much less someone in management. This is very sad and I’m sure is a deterrent for individuals seeking care. I definitely do not recommend.
