michelle greene I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE doing these but I have to in this situation. I called to make an appointment but my usual nail tech was on vacation. I still went in and was with the tech that started me on the whole dip powder nails. Love them! Her work is great but her as a person, I was not happy with. The first time I went to her, she “lectured “ me pretty much thru the whole service that I needed to call to make an appointment. I told her that I did and nobody answered and it wouldn’t let me leave a message. SHE MADE ME CALL THE SALON FROM MY PHONE WHILE I WAS THERE!!!!! She wanted to hear what the vm said. (I work in JC and get out at 530. They close at 7. They accept walk ins. ) Today when I went…. Same girl. I had almond shaped nails and wanted to go back to square. Told me it’s really hard to do that???? They were long enough so she had enough length to work with. Next, there was a color I found on Pinterest that I wanted to show her and she wouldn’t let me saying they probably didn’t have it. I said maybe something close to it. Still no. So I said I wanted to look at the color samples and she said they were wrong and wouldn’t let me, AT 1st! Made me look at a basket of the dip powders. I grabbed the samples, found the one I wanted and she was right, it was wrong but then I showed her the color. Next…. During the filing and shaping etc, because of the language barrier I guess I didn’t understand what she meant, but she told me to put my hand down as she was filling my thumb. I put it down. She said no, put it down. So I put my thumb down. She said NO and shook her head and ROLLED HER EYES!!!!! Are you kidding me???? Like I said the nails look fantastic but the service? Not so fantastic.

Lisa Youmand The worst!!!I will never go back there. Very rude and my nails looked horrible. I do not recommend this salon. There is a dark spot on my one nail because she didn’t polish them correctly!!!!!

judy ziegenhagen I went in for a mani and a pedi, staff very friendly and girl very kind. i had just gotten our of the hospital. She was aware I was hurting and emotional.Being the kind lady she was, she helped me allot. Just wish they could speak better English. I expected to pay $50, for the service and she charged me $60.. did not know the prices went up.She may have suggested something that I did not understand. That would account for the higher price.

gabriela Sneaky, hidden extra charges that you’re only made aware of when you go to check out for your service. The owner is dismissive and totally sneaky. Her little toy poodle walks around the shop barking and growling at everyone. Dog pee on the floor of the bathroom

Alana P. i dont know what fake and fraudulent people are giving this place a five star review but that is not me. this is the worst salon and service i have ever seen. i was rushed the entire way through, the lady tried to slide with not filing my nails, she made my cuticle bleed, did not paint the nail fully and straight up did not seem to know what she was doing at all. if this was a cheap service i would be like ok what did i expect but it was $45 for gel and an additional $10 cat eye. $55 total. for that price i would expect spa level service. when i went up to pay i was shocked at the total and the lady checking me out said “you must not live in rhinebeck” in a rude and nasty tone. this place sucks and i would not recommend finding that out for yourself.

Ashley Kilbride I moved back to the area a few years ago from LA. I would get pedicures every two weeks but since I’ve been back here I haven’t had one in over two years! This was my first one in two years and it was so nice! Everyone is super nice. Very cleans and tons of colors to pick from. My pedicure was so nice and relaxing, it was just what I needed. I live in Red Hook so coming her was more convenient than going to Kingston. I will be coming here from now on!

Taylor Gephard Did ANC, my second time. I got them on Tuesday and 2 days later they started to lift, and by saturday they started to chip and break off. Owner did them. It was $50. Not worth it, though the owner was a kind guy. My first set of ANC was by a parlor in hyde park and they stayed on for 4 weeks, and I actually am able to do my own ANC (albeit im a beginner) and they stay on much longer than what they did. I am disappointed, to say the least. I dont even need a soak off because I can literally see where they are lifting and pop them without much effort at all. Another thing which Im not sure is true, is that they dont clean their tools between people. I am not sure if that is a sanitary thing or not.

Ainsley Mannino Asked for a gel manicure, I’ve been going here for probs 15 years periodically and this French gel manicure is so badly done it should be illegal lol and it was done by the owner. Don’t go here it’s trash

Kristel Vosburgh I received a gift certificate for this place and went in to use it before it expired. Gift certificate reads that it’s good for 6 months from date of purchase and “cannot be apply to gratuity unless indicate.” I got a pedicure and had 15 dollars left on the gift certificate. As it’s expiring within a few days I asked to use it toward the tip and was very rudely told no. I asked about the wording on the certificate and when it would need to be indicated, just for general curiosity and was never informed an answer and Alex just kept saying no expire no expire while becoming more loud and more rude until he walked away. I did give the nail tech a cash tip because it wasn’t her doing and she did a nice job. Also to note- something seemed off to me even before I presented the gift certificate. They clearly favor their regular clients over new ones. Very Poor costumer service in my opinion.

C M Victoria is amazing! Shes professional and uses the highest of quality products. With numerous degrees in nail tech, shes informative and meticulous with her tools. Getting your nails done shouldnt hurt and when you go to see Victoria, you know your hands are in the best hands!

Aria Bell My favorite treat to myself is getting my nails done at Lilys nails. I have been coming to Lily’s nails for just over a year now and by far it is the best nail salon I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to quite a few in Rochester). Everyone who works there is so kind and careful with each piece of art they create on your nails. They meticulously craft each of my acrylic nails and I fall in love every three weeks when I get them done. They work so hard and clearly shows. Definitely 10/10 recommend this nail salon to anyone and everyone.

Alicia Rogers I see Lily every two weeks and she’s the best! I’ll bring ideas and show her photos and she will always put her own creative spin on it and I love that! Sometimes I have no clue what I want and just have Lily decide! I’m never disappointed and she is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met! I bring my daughter in from time to time to get her nails done and they always do a great job on her tiny nails too (she’s 5)! Thanks Lily!

Caleigh Jermy This place is amazing. They have candy in bowls for you, The nail techs are so kind and understanding, but you do have to be a little more specific on the design you want. The prices are a little pricey but they are understandable. I have just finished getting my nails done and they look good but the person who was doing them didnt remove any of the polish he got on my skin even tho I asked him to be didnt. The one thing I dont like is how much they charge for rhinestones the original price of my manicure was supposed to be 35 but it ended up being 55 because of the rhinestones I normally dont leave reviews but this time i just feel like I need to. I love the place and love the people they are so nice and welcoming but they leave your nails a mess depending on the design you get other than that I would 100000% recommend this salon to everyone

Jennifer Proto Booked facials for a girls day with my best friends - Ian was so accommodating over the phone and in-person! The spa itself is gorgeous - love the fact that its located in a historic property, and was all decked out for the holidays. Because of scheduling, we had back-to-back treatments, and were able to hang out in the plush waiting lounge in-between. Best facial Ive ever had - days later and my skin is still glowing without makeup! While I dont normally chat for my entire treatment, Lydia was so personable and interesting, I couldnt help myself! Needless to say, we were all so happy with our experience, we already booked our next visit and cant wait to return!

Nixie Morrigan I love this salon so much!! I have struggled to find a nail salon that would give me the short stiletto nails of my dreams. I love the long ones but can’t manage to get anything done with them on. Kevin was so kind and very funny too. His skill is clear the moment you sit down and he got them the PERFECT length. I can still type and I am just so happy.

Bella Smith It provided me with a very clean, comfortable, patient and enthusiastic service, and made the nails I wanted. They took a long time to complete the Halloween-themed nails for me. coco l i went to this nail salon to get them done for a wedding im going to but as you can see it doesn’t look like the picture at all. i’m highly disappointed one of nails are already cracked and there is barely any product on my nails. not the quality i expected. the customer service was good but the nail quality is horrible. i would expect them to look at least decent for the price i paid for them but this did not cut it. i could do a better job than this at home. the shape is not even almond and the the nail bed is clear which it’s not supposed to be like that, would not recommend this place nor would i be going back.

Piper Wilson I have been coming here for awhile, and Im not one to leave a bad review but the service here keeps plummeting. Today I had Jack, he burnt me multiple times and cut me in different 3 places... The whole time I was either "ouch", or "too hot". Super aggressive and when he cut me he was smiling behind his mask? I have always been kind and tipped these people very well. I have no idea how someone could be so harsh.

Ciearra Huck I have tried SO many nail salons in the area and not one has me as pleased as Gossip Nail EVERY. TIME. I have never had nails that are this sturdy and come out looking nearly perfect every time. I have tried a few different nail techs there and they are ALL amazing but Boo-Boo has a great personality on top of his skills! 10/10 recommend!

Ella Erol Anna has been doing my nails for years but everyone there does an amazing job! I am so picky about my nails and Gossip Nails is the only place that has consistently made me happy. Couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!

Jamielle Tan I’ve been coming here almost a year so far. They are very clean and very nice at this location. Just make sure to make an appt. before coming in. I especially like how May does my nails perfectly; clean, polished and takes her time. I’ve also had Michael do my nails, as well and he is also great too. Also, they are able to do nail art, like simple and cute designs with stamps. This is definitely a place I’ll consistently be coming to especially since it is like a 5 minute drive from where I live.

Brina Butchko Le is the best at pedicures! She takes such care and is so gentle and does a great job! Be is her daughter and she does my gel nails. They call me by name and always offer me drinks and snacks. I always leave feeling pampered and beautiful! My daughter gets acrylic nails from Tina, she’s really good at putting the designs on her nails. I recommend Ella Nails.

Tara Short Their prices state $65 for a mani and Pedi. And 35 for a Pedi. Yesterday we checked out with two Pedi and a mani for 195. When I asked why they said their prices changed for their public poster.

Reagan Desain I got my nails done not even a week ago. I got a full set acrylic manicure. They have been bubbly since i left and they were not even dry when i left even though i sat under a uv light for at-least 20 minutes while the girl who did my nails sat on her phone. They are cracking and splitting and the sides are lifting which is allowing them to pop off. They were $60 out of my savings and i am very disappointed. Will not be back.

Linda I love going to Sun Nails on Route 9 Cohoes. What a great place! I have been going there since they have opened. It is clean and the staff acknowledges you as soon as you arrive. I get my pedicures here. They take very good care of you here. I love the warm towels and hot stones! They do a great job!

Was told by a rude woman who didn’t even get out of her chair. Can’t c help you must have appointments one manicurist in place Another time. Had an appointment with granddaughter. Got there and was told we would have to come back because they were doing a wedding party. Figured I would give them a second chance. Shame on me

Nora Pierce Got a powder manicure, and they were so kind and welcoming! I accidentally smudged the polish on my way out and they fixed it up to look good as new, highly recommended.

Amanda T The salon is clean and the staff is friendly, but I do not recommend June. Unfortunately, I left with the worst nails of my life after getting a new set with her. Aside from the shape and color being not what I asked for (which was brought to her attention but it seemed like she could not correct it), but almost every single one of my nails broke or chipped shortly after service, which does not happen with other service providers. Overall, it was a very messy and ugly job and I’m very unhappy with them.

Tracy Kral I went here for a pedicure.. Great experience. There was no wait, lots of polish colors available, smells great and was very clean. The massage chairs even worked wonderfully. For $30 it was definitely worth the money. Everybody was very nice. The only thing I would have preferred is spending a little more time on the exfoliation and massage, But not worth deducting a star for.

Bari Sophia Very clean, bright and spacious full service nail spa. Never too crowded and I never feel rushed so they can get to next client. They are great with keeping appointment times. I wonder why there is a new owner every couple of years tho.
