Patricia Smith: Just love this gym! Always clean and tons of equipment. Super friendly staff and the classes are just great. I have been a member for over 8 years and wouldnt dream of going anywhere else. My instructor keeps me motivated to keep coming back. The classes are always challenging and fun. I have also met some wonderful people here that are now my friends. We are always very supportive of each other and new members as well. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.
    LA Fitness - Garden City
Johayra M: I’ve been a loyal member at LF Fitness in Garden City (711 Stewart Avenue) for about a year and a half, paying over $617 during that time. While this is considered one of the better LF locations in Long Island, the cleanliness here has gotten truly unacceptable. The equipment is consistently dirty—dust, cobwebs, and grime around the machines almost every time I come in. It’s clear that regular cleaning is not being taken seriously. The bathrooms are even worse. The toilets have yellow, black, and orange rings inside and around the bowls, as if they haven’t been properly cleaned or bleached in ages. The bathroom floors look the same—dirty, stained, and neglected. I honestly feel disgusted even thinking about taking a shower there. The sauna also smells terrible—like sweat that has never been cleaned off—plus there’s visible dust and dirt all over. It’s disappointing and honestly shocking to pay a high membership fee for a facility that looks, smells, and feels this poorly maintained. I truly hope management takes this seriously, because as a loyal customer, I can say this location desperately needs immediate attention and proper cleaning.
LA Fitness - New Hyde Park
Anu: What I liked: -The sheer size of the facility is impressive — this is one of the biggest LA Fitness locations I’ve been to. Lots of space to move around, plenty of machines, ample zones for cardio, free weights, and functional training. -With the large footprint, it’s less crowded than many smaller gyms I’ve tried, especially during off-peak hours. -The variety means you can shift routines easily: switch from cardio to machines to pool or classes without feeling cramped. What could be better: -Some of the equipment and machines feel a bit dated: older treadmills, some wear and tear on benches and weight plates. It doesn’t feel “brand-new” or cutting-edge in all areas. -While the large size is a plus, it also means sometimes it takes a moment to find exactly the machine or area you want — signage could help more. -As with larger gyms, sometimes you feel less of that boutique, personalized vibe — if you’re after a very modern, stylised gym experience, this might fall a little short. I’d give it 4 stars out of 5. Because of the size and variety of equipment, it hits the mark for a strong workout facility. But because some of the machines are older and the experience isn’t quite top-tier modern, it doesn’t earn a full five. Tip: Go during an off-peak time (mid-afternoon or early evening) to take full advantage of the spacious layout and avoid peak-time congestion. Also, if you have a go-to machine, it’s worth checking whether it’s recently serviced or newer in that section.
    Orangetheory Fitness - Carle Place
Mikyle Blunt: Once Gyms reopened after being closed due to the pandemic I knew Orangetheory would be the only option that would make me feel safe & give me a piece of mind due to the REGULAR practice on small class sizes in comparison to actual "Gyms".... Even prior to the Pandemic every OT Studio I ever been to was IMMACULATE & By design (Due to having to book classes) they are NEVER crowded. I Canceled 2 MUCH CHEAPER gym Memberships because no cost is too high for my safety & wellness. While OT may seem costly it is worth every dollar for so many reasons ESPECIALLY in these Pandemic times. The Staff Is VERY FRIENDLY & Helpful at Carle Place, They follow every security measure (Temp check, health screening) and every other machine is used. This is the ONLY facility I plan to workout at going forward....I feel safe there.
    Sparta Gym - Westbury
Lotus 823: Called multiple times on multiple occasions of different days and nobody ever picks up the phone. I’ve been calling to see how much a daily pass is and if they have a sauna. Today i called again and finally somebody answered. It was buffering a bit and then next thing i know im getting cursed out for no apparent reason. Clearly have immature roid heads at the front desk who get upset over nothing . DO BETTER
Body Image Fitness - Williston Park
Athanasios Mitsios: Body Image Fitness is a local fitness studio (operated by Jason and Kristy) that is much more than a simple studio. Besides being a well-fitted place with workout equipment, it is a place where I can push my mental and physical limitations to higher peaks. Jason has led, coached, and inspired me over the last few months. In doing so, I am achieving real tangible results. His knowledge of fitness, nutrition, and health is extensive; in every session I seem to learn something new. It never gets boring. Lastly I would like to point out that the place is full of good vibes and you can feel that Jason and Kristy are GOOD people!
F45 Training Carle Place - Carle Place
Robin Wilcox: I tried F45 for the first time in Carle Place yesterday. I was very pleased with the workout. Ive been lifting weighs for 43 years, so I choose a weight class for my first work out. I was challenged. I love that. Also, as an older participant, I was very pleased that I was allowed to participate like everyone else without judgement. I highly recommend F45 to anyone looking to step up their training.
Orangetheory Fitness - Garden City Park
Patricia Hernandez: Ive been to several OTF locations, including out of state, and Ive never had a bad experience, but this particular location is special. The SAs are always lovely and the coaches here are great. Alyssa, Nikki, Robyn and Shaina are my favorites. They are motivating without being overbearing. Im still a beginner and cant physically do all of the movements on the floor or hit all of the recommended speeds or inclines on the tread (YET!) and I find the coaches to be encouraging without making me feel ashamed or self conscious. In just the few months that Ive been consistently showing up, I see so much improvement in my strength and endurance, but more importantly, maybe, is the improvement in my mental health. If youre thinking about coming for a class and are afraid, dont be. I let so much time pass because I didnt think I could do it. Dont be like me. The first class is free, come give it a try.
Push Fitness Club of New Hyde Park - New Hyde Park
dena8144: Beautiful gym does say luxury. I believe I might have joined but they stole a little wrist wallet in restroom put it down next to my water bottle on sitting area turn around to put jacket locker, and this other lady put her gym bag same sitting area. At first I said maybe put in locker open again saw she left quickly I followed down to entrance and I made believe asking guy for my id I knew he was holding since on a pass she realized I knew she took my wrist wallet only had 10 bucks in it but just took away my taste to join.
