Cody Kenyon Had oil leak fixed and parts replaced that were saturated in oil. My temp gauge was going up a day or two after so I topped off coolant. Soon after my engine was overheating after starting the car. Turns out when they did the work they never double checked the large coolant hose that may have been in the way when doing the work before. I sent pictures and videos to their email after calling and being told to get it towed to them. I managed to figure out that the linchpin wasn’t set or double checked before they returned the car and caused me to break down in Clifton park and walk to a nearby gas station twice to fix the problem. I received no response to the evidence I provided nor did I receive any call back. Anyone doing cars for as long as them would know what the problem was as I described it in detail and with the pictures and videos. I should add my opinions here, that I believe they are at fault because I had no coolant problem before and the hose that was completely disconnected is directly next to the oil filter. There was no damage to the hose, fitting, or pin. It may have been disconnected for easier access. I’m leaving this review because Andre didn’t take any responsibility for it, nor did he even offer a “my bad”. He’s also not a very agreeable person and exaggerated how long the car had been done before in an attempt to make me feel some way for paying for the work 3 days after I was done.

Rick Dearstyne This was my 6th year in a row bringing my Mercedes here. When I read that management/ownership had changed I was a little reluctant to go back again but I had always been satisfied with the service. I was only scheduled for an inspection and an oil change. I had the 1st appointment of the morning, 8:30 a.m. The mechanics were late coming to work. Strike one. The inspection cost $21.00. The oil change $220. Wow. They said oil was $15 per quart and the filter $15 + $60 labor. Again, wow. When I was a mile down the road, I noticed smoke coming from under the hood. I turned around and went back. When opening the hood, there was oil on the exhaust manifold, the alternator and the engine block. They tried to say that the seal on the oil filler cap was bad. It wasnt. Strike 2. They either didnt tighten the cap or poured oil on the engine when refilling with oil. They cleaned oil off the engine with a spray (but some still remained). A cardinal rule of oil change is to always, always check for leaks when finished. They obviously didnt. Strike 3. While they did take responsibility for the error, I find this to be substandard work and for that amount of money, I could have gone to Jiffy Lube for 1/2 the price and a quicker and more professional job. Im sorry to say that I wont return next year.

Erin Slater I didnt realize they were under new management when I scheduled my MINI oil change a couple days ago. Ive been a loyal customer since I purchased my first MINI in 2015 and Ive always had positive experiences. Mike was awesome and theyre prices were reasonable. I just paid $198 for an oil change!!!!! $65 in labor and then the guy charged me a 4% fee for using my card. When I asked the guy if it was still Mike doing the work he actually said yes. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!

Bryon and Elizabeth Flood Buyer Beware Tire Troubles: Mavis Tire Fails to Deliver on Safety Promise Let me share a wild ride of frustration and disappointment I recently experienced at Mavis Discount Tire . It all started on a regular day when I was in the area for a medical visit and found out our CRV needed four new tires. It seemed like a routine fix, but little did I know, it would turn into a nightmare. During a late night trip to Albany Medical Center early last week (around 900 miles with the new tires) we heard a loud banging sound while driving. To our horror, we discovered that the lug nuts on the front drivers side tire were loose and so we tightened them back on and proceeded with caution. We also discovered that all 4 tires were significantly low so we filled them to their required amount. . We ended up having to abandon the car in Canajoharie the next day when rechecking the tire on the way home and discovering it had been pushed off again resulting in 3 missing lugs. Thats a dangerous situation that needed immediate attention. We contacted Mavis Tire right away for help. They requested the car be towed to their Ballston Spa location. They asked us if we had a preference of a tow company and we did and they explained that they would take care of him when he got there. They never paid Flanny as promised and from that point on, we were lied to again and again. They told Flanny to call for payment but never took the call. They told us that Flanny never came to see them regarding payment but somehow they had the invoice and he didnt take their payment method either way so we would need to get it from corporate. They told us at corporate that the manager doesnt have the authority to write a check over $300 and our bill was $320 and that was why he wasnt paid. They told us Friday morning that they ordered a rim and it will be here Monday. But heres where things took an even more frustrating turn. They proceeded to say we would be responsible. We reached out to the general manager who interrogated us during the call and then called us back after 6 pm on Friday to tell us that HE investigated and because it has over 900 miles and ran fine for the first 3 weeks we had it that we did something to cause it, refusing to take any responsibility and dismiss our concerns. They later refused to cover the towing costs to bring the car to their shop, refuse to fix the tires and replace the rim and finally leaving us to foot the bill for getting it back to us from Ballston Spa. Its a reminder to always double-check where you take your car for service and demand accountability for your safety. I can only assume this is an isolated event but when you make a mistake, you do whats right and fix it. We asked for nothing more than for you to redo the tires and replace anything that broke or is unsafe as a result of the tire coming loose and pay for the original tow bill. This should have never escalated. This is poor poor customer service.

stephen *The reason the review was put up a few years later is because I am now needing a new alignment and am looking for a place to have it done. It reminded me of the experience I had. I definitely should have left the review the same day. However, I was too busy fixing the damage to my truck.... Replying to my review and stating you have no record of me implying that i would just, out of nowhere, decide to write a bad review about some random shop just reinforces my decision to not go back. I definitely should have gone back in and said something after I saw the damage and demanded repair. However, after the bad experience, I didnt really want to go back at all. Went here a couple of years ago. Needed an alignment done on my truck. They were recommended by another mechanic because they have a nice alignment setup. Anyway, I had replaced most of my front-end components, including new upper control arms as well as new alignment cams and bolts. When they were loosening or tightening one of the adjustment cam bolts they must have used and impact in the bolt side as opposite to the nut side, which caused the alignment cam to break the alignment pin that the cam rides on. When the truck was ready, they told me what happened except blamed the issue on the truck being rusty. However, everything in the front end was new and should have been very easy to adjust and tighten by hand. They said the alignment pin was broken and would require welding to fix. However, alignment pins on my truck just press in with vice grips. I ended up fixing it myself. The frustrating part is they broke something due to their own negligence and just gave it back and charged full price. If I break something that Im working on and its totally my fault, Im obligated to fix it. Even if it will cause me to lose money because its my fault. This fix would have been simple. Yes, they would need to take the front end apart to do it, but thats the right thing to do. Im guessing they assumed it would be the last alignment the truck ever got, which isnt the case. The truck is still running and driving great, and I have alignments done by another place that knows what they are doing. I dont know if they actually thought it required welding to fix or just told me that thinking I didnt know enough about the way the alignment system works on the truck. I didnt cause any issue when checking out. I just know now where to not have work done on my vehicles.
