Peter Lukens Was admitted for emergency surgery with an eight MM kidney stone. Those of you who have had a K-Stones know the pain. Asked for pain remediation and was treated like a JUNKY instead of a patient in severe pain! I had three RNs come into the room with hands on there hips and tersely asked to check my body for open sores. And they found none. Humiliating experience to say the least. Very unsympathetic nursing staff. Maybe the R.Packer Hospital needs to have a Kidney Stone awareness seminar for there nursing staff.

Stephanie Don’t waste your time coming here. Find a better hospital where the staff actually cares about their patients. The nurses and doctors at this facility are dismissive and even rude. I visited for back pain I had been dealing with for a couple of months, and they accused me of lying. They claimed I was faking my pain because I walked in without showing any discomfort. After the student nurse had me move my back in various directions, my pain returned. I informed the doctor who came in afterward, but instead of helping, they took X-rays, labeled it a pulled muscle, and sent me off with Tylenol.
To make matters worse, the doctor wrote in the report that she overheard me telling the student nurse I wasn’t in pain, but the moment she came in, I said I was. She implied that my pain was suspicious and fake. I explained that moving my back caused it to hurt, feel numb, and tingle, but they didn’t take me seriously. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place.
