3 /5 First World Properties: I wish that I had better news about this place... My overall assessment is that Peaches was NOT BAD it just was NOT GREAT either... I think that they are going for some kind of soulfood and modern fusion that misses the mark on both. Hey, there are a lot of new faces in the area that have never had REAL down home soulfood so this place may do well. The atmosphere was quaint yes spacious enough that you did not feel crowded. Although I was there after dark the exterior seemed nice and inviting. My only gripe was the food. The lack of flavor and seasoning to be precise. We started off with an order of wings and fried calamari as appetizers. They both LOOKED amazing. Upon tasting them they both were just so-so. On a scale of 1-10 they would get a 6.8. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. The calamari was slightly overcooked and a few pieces were chewy. The breading was as bland as bland can get. In their defense I like spice more than most but yikes! Reportedly the entre chicken sandwich was also just alright. Same message or less for the macaroni and cheese. I had the salmon with spinach. Actually, the salmon had a little crust that had some flavor. The dessert peach melba with vanilla icecream was delicious. The red velvet cake again was reportedly passable but not exceptional. On the bright side ✨️ the portions were generous and priced appropriately. Additionally, the presentation of the food was excellent. If someone invited me to eat at Peaches I would attend. On the hand I dont think that I would proactively return. Your mileage may vary...
