Strange Design Public House - Geneseo (NY)

1 /5 bll runs: Decent atmosphere for a drink, and service, but I’d pass on the food other than the greasy but yummy pretzels. My companions liked the deep fried pickles as well but the burgers were not rated highly by any of the three people I was with and my salad was barely edible with not shaved raw Brussels (menu said “shaved”) that were too hard to bite into. “Funny” reply noted by owner/manager. Maybe sarcasm isn’t the smartest response to an honest but not great review of an essentially inedible salad a customer paid for. Definitely not going back! Reduced to one star since you can’t post a minus one. So funny!

1 /5 Wendy Dale: We ordered a burger with garic sauce and cheddar cheese. Not much to choose from if you are looking for options that are not fried food. The burger was not worth $15.00 as it didnt even take up the whole roll. The tomato was barely red. We will not be going back! On a positive note, the rye beer was good.

5 /5 Kelly L: My 1st time here was excellent! The renovations to the building are incredible. It has a long past and they do a great job nodding to its history while still keeping the feel modern. The ambience is awesome and the staff are so great. Now its my 2nd time and the beers, food etc are 2/2 great. I will come back here as often as possible.

5 /5 Jennifer Cronin: Tried them when they first opened and wasnt impressed but when I won a gift card here recently I tried it again and was blown away. We went again within a week and enjoyed this meal even more than the last. Theyve definitely improved their menu and their beer options have something for everyone, which is hard to find at small breweries. The building is very cool too! We had the Pittsburgh Salad, Mac & Cheese, & Pork Nachos on special. Weve also tried the poutine and burger and both were great.

5 /5 Ashley Bonneau: Stayed at the inn right next door after a wedding and decided to have a drink or two. Ryan and Morgan were fantastic and very attentive. Had the GORRGEous Pale Ale which was phenomenal and the pretzel sticks as a snack. I definitely will be coming back next time Im in the area.
