3 /5 Russell Brown: My partner and I previously went to the Delaware and had a great experience. We ordered burgers and salads which were excellent so we went back again to try the other menu offerings.
We started with the lobster dumplings and while they werent bad, I would not get again.
My parnter ordered a pasta dish that he enjoyed and I ordered the steak Diane medium rare. The steak came in three thin slices that were all cooked well. The centers of each piece solid gray and yet the steaks had no sear at all.
I brought it to the attention of the waitress and she immediately agreed that the steak was not cooked as ordered and replaced it. The second steak similarly had no sear and was overcooked. The largest of the slices was a little closer to medium rare so I ate it. For $52, I would strongly recommend against ordering a steak here.
The server did graciously comp a round of drinks and the atmosphere in the Delaware is top notch. I would go back but I would stick to the sandwiches, burgers, and salads.
