Turf Tavern - Scotia (NY)

5 /5 Rocky Moss: Absolutely delicious food situated in a home-y, cozy, environment. Service is friendly and personable; the menu is small, but powerful. The prime rib poutine was AMAZING, an absolute stand out dish. Generally speaking, their fried items were delicious. Get here early if you want the prime rib, it sells fast! That said, I got the filet, and it was spectacular, some of the best steak of that cut Ive ever had. The only thing I could complain about (and this is really picky) is the side of potatoes one of us got with our NY strip. They were large (quartered maybe?) and relatively light on the seasoning. Its a shame, because the truffle fries were SO good. Definitely make the side upgrade to avoid disappointment, in my opinion. Overall, 9/10 experience i will happily return for.

5 /5 Mackenzie Wilson: I can’t say enough good things about Turf Tavern. They were incredibly accommodating with our last-minute post-funeral gathering and made the entire experience seamless. The food quality was absolutely amazing. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful, friendly, and attentive, making sure our group was well taken care of from start to finish, they even brought out some toys when they noticed my nephew getting antsy. Turf Tavern truly exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

5 /5 Jeff Gallo: Used the Turf Tavern to cater our wedding. Amazing group of people who did an exceptional job with what we ended up choosing. Went with a buffet style but their wedding packages have so much to offer in each category it was a tough choice hah. We did a lunch/brunch and had an open bar for an hour and it was surprisingly cheap. Like base cost per person was in the $20 range and with the open bar and extra food options we added it may have been more $30s-$40 a head or so. But after checking out MANY food and catering places to cater a wedding, you don’t know how cheap that is. Like, staggeringly cheap… (some are $100+ a person) especially since they set up everything, brought all the silverware and linens, cut the cake for us and tore it all down in the end. Incredible caterers! Really, i can’t recommend them enough!
