Janelle Augustin I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent experience. First, I want to say that I appreciated having a woman answer the phone when I called the shop. As a woman, visiting or even calling an auto shop can sometimes feel intimidating due to past experiences, so that small detail made a positive first impression. I brought in my 2013 Volvo XC60 because my air conditioning has been blowing hot air. After the inspection, I was informed that the issue was related to the catalytic converter, which needs to be replaced at a cost of $3,700. I was told this was also the reason for my check engine light being on and that once the code was cleared, the AC began blowing cold air again. However, this explanation raised concerns for me, as I’ve previously owned a vehicle with catalytic converter issues and never experienced any problems with the heating or air conditioning systems. When I picked up my vehicle later that night, the AC initially blew hot air, then began to cool but this tends to happen naturally during cooler times of the day, such as at night or early mornings. I drove the car again the following day in warmer weather and noticed no improvement. The AC continues to blow hot air even with the check engine light being off, so now the original AC issue remains unresolved. Additionally, I couldn’t help but notice that my vehicle appeared to have remained in the same spot throughout the day. While I understand the lot may be crowded, it left me wondering whether any work was actually performed. In the end, I paid $178 and feel no closer to a solution. I would have appreciated more transparency even simply admitting that the team was unsure how to address the issue rather than leaving me with unresolved concerns and unnecessary expenses. To further validate my doubts, my husband and I did some research and confirmed that a catalytic converter does not impact a vehicle’s AC system. This makes me question the accuracy of the information I was given.

Even after moving to another state I still drive back and have my vehicles serviced and repaired here. Having a fair and honest mechanic shop you can depend on is worth its weight in gold. I regrettably learned that lesson the hard way when I left for college and expected every place to be as fair, upfront and honest as Pro Auto. They were not. Hence the reason I return to the one mechanic shop i can truly trust. If you need your car serviced or repaired, Pro Automotive is a place you can trust and rely on to do top notch work at a reasonable price. Cant say enough good things about this place or its people.

Real MikeClute The best in the business. Owner operated. Quality work at a very fair price. They do all the work for my elderly father on both his vehicles for years. They dont rip him off either! They did such great work for him that I left my old mechanic in Glenville and now go to Pro Automotive. Very clean establishment. Call for an appointment though. Its not a drive through chop shop. You get quality work for a great price.

Annie Ramdass Wecare was one of the best mechanic shops there is in Schenectady. The price was very good and the service was 100 percent I would like for more people to go here because they fix your car and you get your money worth so I recommend it. When something was not perfect with a recent repair, they not only took the time after all payments were made to diagnose and rectify it but asked that I come back in a few weeks so that they could confirm that it was all permanently fixed. Alex Soloman I had a fantastic experience at OMS AutoWerks! Shiv did an oil change on my car and went above and beyond by helping me diagnose an issue I’d been having. He quickly found the problem with my air suspension and located the leak and explained everything in detail, making sure I understood what needed to be done. His professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail were outstanding. It’s hard to find a mechanic who genuinely cares about their work, but Shiv is definitely one of them. I highly recommend OMS AutoWerks, and I’ll definitely be coming back for future services!

Kamraj Harriprasad I have been looking for a good mechanic shop to service my car and I found this guy Shiv, He is one of the best mechanic I have come across, he takes his time and explain the issues with the car and also , I did my valve cover gasket , all spark plugs , fix my bumper , did my steering pump, serpentine belt and so much more for a reasonable price. Robin Shobey I’m so disappointed in this shop. My car needed a control arm and boot a few hours to fix. Well it took 3 1/2 weeks. The charge was $900 and the back brake(new) was left on back seat the older brake that came with the parts was put on my car and I was told I needed brakes. What .? No way they were fine before I went there. The owner would not give a receipt for the so called work he did, because $90 is owed A friend of mine when also went there for exhaust repair and also was charged $900 for no work done.. ($900 seems to be the going rate). Hopefully it gets better

Jihad Davis First of all I want to say having a good business is communication in which Chrisler Automotive has very poor communication. I purchased a vehicle from Carvana and the engine light with a P0411 code came on about a month later, the warranty sent me to Chrisler automotive Group, I took my vehicle to them in November they kept my vehicle for about 3-4 days I came to pickup my vehicle and started it up and the engine light came back on instantly, I went back inside to let him know so they hooked it back up to the diagnostic and now it was showing 40 codes!!! Are you kidding me!!! Anyway he asked me to leave it and I said I’ll be back. I brought it back on the17th of December and didn’t get it back until the 30th of December 2024 and on January 4th 2025 the engine light came back on same code P0411, the warranty people told me to take it back to Chrisler Automotive, Heck no!!! I refuse to take it back there!!!! Top it off the owner wouldn’t even give me a receipt or print out of the work his shop supposed to had did. Talking about he will email it to me. That didn’t happen. I never experience anything like this at no business dealt with!!! That place is sheisty! I had another mechanic look at my vehicle and tell me what he thinks and what work had Chrisler done!!! He said what work???? From the work Chrisler Automotive said they had to do it wasn’t done!!! My engine light is still on to this day!!! “Beware of this place” Terrible!!! Oh yeah and my TMP light is still on as well! They never fixed that, talking about oh I put some air in the tires and the light went out!!!! Are you kidding me!!!! I’m done!!!

Anthony Barbagallo Kevin didnt know I had a tracker in my car and got caught joyriding around and damaging the vehicle to the point it was undrivable and needed to be towed. Mind you, it was driven to his shop. He will now be under investigation by both the administrative and criminal offices of DMV once I turn in the trackers date time and locations. Be careful who you do business with.
