They ordered and replaced the O2 sensor in about 45 minutes while I waited. I love family owned businesses like this. They do everything right. Highly recommend for the quality of service.

No they dont coddle to your feelings theyre not going to do s*** for free and they value their time just like any other small business in America. Joe and his staff are top notch mechanics car fixed take it to the jiffy lube. Ill be using him moving forward for all of my work. Honest reliable and down to earth. Im glad I found these guys!

Bill Soucy Can you give someone 6 stars?!!?! Mark is amazing at what he does. My daughter has a 2011 Civic, and it needs some TLC. We took it to 3 different places to see if we could get the brakes checked and to find out where this noise was coming from. Every place was "you need an entire exhaust, you need 4 new tires and new brakes, you need a new car." It was kind of nuts. Mark was like “yeah, we just soldered the thing that was making the noise, aligned the tires ( youll need 2), the check engine light is not a concern now, and we cleaned the brakes so they are good." That was in February 2025. The car has been amazing after the work. We are now bringing it back for inspection, those 2 tires, and whatever he suggests. I’m hesitant to give this review because I want to keep him secret, but that’s not fair to everyone!!

Jackie G We just moved to NY and hadnt had time to look around for a good mechanic. So when my car started throwing what seemed like every error light and locked up my brakes while literally on the way home from getting it registered I was pretty stressed out. I looked up the closest shop with good reviews and managed to get my brakes to unlock long enough to limp there. Turns out I had two faulty wheel speed sensors. One was completely dead and the other was just causing intermittent errors. Mark is very friendly and really takes ownership of their work. They ended up needing to keep the car a bit longer after first calling me to say it was ready, due to discovering the intermittent sensor was actually faulty and not just dirty or something. He apologized profusely and went above and beyond to test drive the car multiple times before calling me to come get it again at no additional charge for the added labor, just the new sensor. So far so good on the repairs and my husband and I will absolutely be going here for both our vehicles going forward.

Cobbmanz09 9 Usually the service has been great except my most recent visit. When they put my wheels back on they must have used nearly 200ftlbs of torque on the lugs. They were cross threaded and I had to break off the studs and replace them.

Derrick Gardner This was my first time using Midas and I was extremely happy with my experience. They now have a new system where they text you a link which brings you to a page that allows you to see all the work the technicians have done on your vehicle all supported by photographs. They leave notes of any areas of concern or if there aren’t any. The staff is very professional, informative, and welcoming. Will for sure be coming back to Midas for future appointments.

Mazlum Doğan This is my first bad review. I drove my beauitful audi Q7 myself to capitol mechanics after I read so many good reviews about them. My car had a coolant warning light. No check engine light and nothing major. I asked them for a diagnostics. Their first estimate was 1400 dolar for changing waterpump and thermostat. And Sam told me I could pay in installments and they would deduct the diagnostic charge out ot total. When I said how can they trust me? She said they will simply have faith. Later I learned that they have no faith, no moral and no work etchics. Anyway I will come to that point later. I agreed for the repair. The day later after my research I thought this is the best option. When I took my car there for them fix it, they refused the deduct diagnostic as they previously promised. And they told me repeatedly " we are not a financial instutitions to do installments" and that I have to pay full. Two promises they made while I was making decision were both lies. When they started working on the car, After like 2 weeks they told me the final cost would be about 2700 dollars. I was fine with it. I just wanted them to give me my car. It was long enough. After first week of repair process I gave their loaner back because I was not driving it. One month into long repair Mike gave me a call and said that the car is fine and I can finally take my car from them. When I went there and ask for an ny state inspection they refuse to do it. They said I have to drive it for 2 days before they they can inspect my car. When I asked why they did not drive to test the car, he said, he cant pay the mechanics working for him to drive my car. But they charged me 100 dolar for test drive. It is in my bill!. Anyway I took my car from them and in just 2 hours check engine light was on, the car was shaking like crazy I figured out there was no splash cover under the hood. They were that negligent. My car would only drive on high rpm. I was so frustrated I took my car to capitol mechanics again. They started working on it. One day after like 5-6 weeks into the repairs Mike called me and said that I needed to pay 10k usd for them to fix my car. I said "are u kidding me, you guys messed up my car and ask me for more money?" They said "well it is your problem". The mike guy who was a nice guy in the beginning would repeatedly call me to threaten to call the police on me if I did not return the loaner to them. For the people who are reading these lines, you know that the problem was?? I gave their loaner back in first week. They would call and harrass me for something they knew I didnt have. I told him many many times that they have loaners key, and the car is their parking lot. He would later never apologised for that. He would call and ask for the loaner without listening to me. They were seeing the loaners car was sitting right next to them all the time. I expected them to stay behing their work and promises and gave me my car after I was charged usd 2700. They never offer me for a compensetation. One day after 2 months my car was in their parking lot. I got a letter from them It was saying they would started to charge me 50 dolars per day for parking. When I went there to pick up my car.My car was not in driving condition. They messed up all engine, engine parts in back seats, no splash cover under engine. I found my car in a mess. I drove my car with a minor problem to them and got it back in such a mess. I had to pay a towing company to get my car to my parking lot, and asked kaddos auto to asks his opinion. He came to my parking lot, and told me the repairs will cost me more than 11 thousands, and whole engine needed to be replaced. Sam, tina and mike, those people have done me so much harm. It should not be that easy to get away withit. They made 2700 dolars, I lost a car. I dont have money left to fix it. I will see them in court soon. You can see pictures of diagnostic and bill and pictures of dashboard after so called repair. I am so dissappointed. Shame on them.

Andrew Semel-DeFeo Went there for a rim for a spare. At first I was not impressed guys seemed odd and I was sketched out. They jacked the car and took my tire off I thought they were going to try something like billing me $100 for labor or something. But they were just making sure the rim was right and wasnt going to hit the caliper. Ultimately they charged me $25 for a steel rim. We chatted while they worked and I could see they were honest good folks just rough around the edges. I had to remind the one fellow not to put the lug on my one bad stud 2 times but he probably would have figured that out. Otherwise they would have 5 stars.

Daniel Leiman Honest man Gave me top dollar for my wrecked car Over the phone he told me 150-200 if it is whole (higher than any other place I called) He showed up to a fairly destroyed situation under the detached hood (cut accelerator cables, removed air intake, missing radiator fans, cut shifter, no headlights etc) still paid 150 because thats what he said Honesty can be found here

Ster Lou I came here to get a vehicle Lifesaver Interlock system for my spouse. The technician and the owner were extremely helpful and nice! They have a simulator breathalizer that the owner requires you to practice on and PASS 3 times. We were thoroughly explained the system and what could cause a violation. I HIGHLY recommend coming here if you need mechanical repair AND especially if you need this system.

Halise Ozdemir Firstly, I want to thank Matt and his wonderful team that helped me get my car looking back to normal. I was frustrated because I visited the Colonie location about 8-9 times after my car got hit, and each time I received my car there was something off about it and they would not fix my car, leaving white residue stains, uneven alignment, and cuts in different places. After I had enough, I was lucky to visit the Troy location. I was anxious at first, but I left happy and relieved that they were able to get my car looking back to normal after the first visit. I wish I came here instead of the Colonie location, and will choose Caliber Collision in Troy in the future if something were to happen to my car again. They were thoughtful, honest and very generous when fixing my car and keeping me updated. Definitely go to Troy Caliber Collision for perfect work, attention to detail, and a friendly staff! :)

Dave Barbier I have a 1989 Fox body Mustang which had the twisted drivers seat (the gangster lean). Hurts your back as you drive twisted in the seat. Years ago I went to Ford Motor company where I bought the 1989 Mustang new, figure they could fix it. Unfortunately I was very disappointed seat still had a twist in it and they never matched the piping color on the seat, had to still pay for it. I only speak the truth and I’m not trying to bash ford. In life anything bad you do shows anything good you do shows. Years went on and the twisted seat took the joy out of driving the car. I came a cross Jeremy Baye owner of 1945 Speed and Custom who recently fixed my drivers seat and took the twist out of the seat pan. Also made the seat pan stronger so it will never twist again. I have provide a before photo showing the twisted metal seat pan and the other photos showing the metal seat pan fixed by 1945 Speed and Custom. Now the seat feels just like factory when sitting in it. I only wish I knew about 1945 Speed and custom sooner. Jeremy was a cool guy who is nice and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend 1945 Speed and Custom to all. Trust, Loyalty, Perfection, Honestly and a Pristine end result is difficult to find in a company but you will find it all at 1945 Speed and Custom. Thank you to Jeremy and all his staff. RoseMary Elegance Highly recommend coming here. Came for an oil change and to get my tires rotated, and would do it 100 more times here then anywhere else. Other places will have you waiting hours before you even get your car looked at or touched WITH APPOINTMENTS and if they are quick with it there’s always some type of issue afterwards. But Firestone was quick, efficient, and incredibly kind. The technicians were great and definitely know what they are doing. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thank you guys!!

John Savay We had a great experience getting our tires here. The Manager TJ was very informative about what our choices were and the best tires for our needs. They were awesome! I returned the next week and got them for my second car. We have had zero problems with them. Quick and knowledgeable service.

Cameron Kreder Awful shop. Brought my car into him for some overheating issues (car was steaming). Told me that replacing the $600 water pump would fix it so I did just that. The car started steaming again a block away from there shop after picking it up. He then told me that I had a blown head gasket actually and that “he forgot to tell me he saw metal shavings in my oil”. After telling me about the head gasket he explained that it would be a 3 to 4 thousand dollar job and that I’d be better off just selling my car to him and looking for something new. He continued to call me every 2-3 days for 3 weeks to ask if he could come purchase the car for pennys on the dollar. I took it to another shop and they immediately told me that I had some air in my coolant lines and were able to fix it in 15 minutes and charged me nothing. Owner is blatantly scamming people.

Fairooz Haque He basically charged me 80 dollars for a diagnosis of my cars problem but later he just scanned my codes with his expensive code reader and that is it. My 30 dollar scan tool told me the same story as his 9000 dollar machine....Never again

My car was declared totaled by the insurance company, but the owner and mechanics at Troys Best helped reduce the costs as much as possible to repair my car for a sensible price. They communicate well and frequently, do excellent repair work, and were willing to offer me helpful advice even when it didnt make them extra money.
