1 /5 Randolph Forde: My Aspen Dental Experience Review
I recently had a disappointing experience at Aspen Dental that I feel compelled to share. My wife questioned my choice to go to what she described as a "mall-like dentist," especially since I have proper insurance. I thought the doctors seemed good, but the issues came up with the money-hungry finance team.
After a full mouth scan, I was informed that my partial was covered, but I would have to pay an additional $500 for no metal clasp. I opted for a bridge instead, believing it would be a better option. However, they then insisted that I needed a cleaning before the bridge could be done. When I inquired about insurance coverage for the cleaning, they shockingly stated it would cost me $500 out of pocket—a determination made over the phone without any examination of my teeth.
When I expressed my unwillingness to pay for a cleaning that my insurance wouldn’t cover, they refused to proceed with the bridge procedure and the billing person abruptly hung up on me. It felt like a complete scam! I’m fully insured, yet Im being asked to pay an additional $500 upfront. The finance team felt more like aggressive salespeople than a service-oriented group. I would not recommend Aspen Dental based on my experience.
