1 /5 Nicole Aranya: I previously gave Julie a 5 star review since I was very happy with the way my hair and makeup came out but that was all thanks to Marjorie and Emma! Come to find out almost 2 years later that she never paid them for their services and they are still fighting to get their money. Don’t work with companies who don’t pay their people! Book directly with Marjorie and Emma instead. They are wonderful. Do better Julie!

5 /5 Kimberly 84: I called the salon to make a last minute appointment for my five year old son for a haircut. They were awesome and got him in that same day at noon. The salon was beautiful and clean. Tori was so kind and patient with my son. She didnt make me feel as though she was rushing through his cut just to get to the next client. She took her time and his haircut came out so good. I definitely recommend this salon but most importantly Tori. We already have our next appointment scheduled with her for Nov.

1 /5 Aden Lessiak: Like a few of the other reviews have mentioned, Julie is unreliable and a poor communicator. My initial hair and makeup trial was rescheduled last minute twice, which I didnt think much of until reading that others had a similar experience. Then, the evening prior to my wedding, I received a text that Julie had a family emergency and an alternative team would be provided. I was assured that I would be compensated for the last minute change. I was stressed, but again, didnt think too much of it because of course, family comes first and I cant blame anyone for having an emergency. The back-up team did an ok job, but clearly werent as experienced. The make-up artist was nervous to curl my eyelashes and asked me to do it myself. The hair stylist seemed to struggle a bit and many of the up-dos started falling apart a few hours into the wedding. We ended up running an hour behind and my makeup was the one being rushed, which was really a bummer. Hair and makeup was one of the things I was most nervous about and I was really disappointed with how I looked - no bride should have to feel that way on her wedding day. Even after all of that, I wasnt angry. It wasnt until I tried to contact Julie after my event that my opinion of her changed. I sent multiple texts and emails over the course of a few months and have heard absolutely nothing from Julie or her team. Again, this seems to be a pattern for Julie and is completely unprofessional. She clearly has no respect for her clients and I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for your wedding day beauty services.

1 /5 Jacqueline Molina: Julie Occhino Luxury was my hair/makeup artist that I had chosen for my wedding. I had never met Julie as my wedding was 2.5 hrs from my home and she was on my preferred vendor list from my venue. I had gotten in contact with Julie to inquire with her for my makeup and hair the day of my wedding. She was such a sweet heart over the phone and I felt confident her service would be great. However, that was not the case. As we had entered 2024, I wanted to reach out to her to set a makeup/hair trial for my wedding. She had become very unresponsive, not replying to my e-mails for weeks at a time. She had become very hard to communicate with, and even more difficult to set my hair and makeup trial. She had suggested todo my har and makeup trial the day before my wedding and thought it’d be great as I could go all dolled up for my rehearsal dinner. As someone who works in hospitality, I thought this was very strange and quite honestly, very unprofessional. She would not travel to where I was from for the trial, would not travel to NYC (although her Instagram states that she does travel to NYC). I became very suspicious over her intentions and just when I thought I resolved the issue of having my trial 2.5 hours away from home where we would do my trial at my wedding venue, she cancels a week before I was supposed to go upstate for my trial. It was very disappointing to me and she stated she would reimburse me my deposit in 7-10 business days on April 7, 2024. As of today, August, 14, 2024 I have yet to receive my refund of my deposit. I am very disappointed in her service and lack of communication with a client and even more disappointed that she has not given me my money back.. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS VENDOR.

5 /5 Nicole Nigro: I have been going to Kaitlyn Beck for a while now, the co-owner. She did my hair way before she even became the boss babe/ salon owner that she is today ! The atmosphere is welcoming, cozy, and girly. The vibes from all of the other staff are nothing but friendly. Kaitlyn turned my hair from blue black to the blonde Ive always dreamed of. We did it slow and healthy as you can see from the attached photos! The blonde that other stylists would off bat say "Thats not realistic for your natural hair color". Kaitlyn specializes in blondes, but also excels in all other aspects of hair and makeup artistry. 10/10, Im confident in saying that the dollhouse will feel like your 2nd home :)
