Castle Point excels in specialist care, such as endocrinology, gastroenterology, gynecology, psychology, and psychiatry. The specialists here are consistently helpful, knowledgeable, and reliable, making specialist visits a 10/10.
However, Urgent Care has been problematic since Dr. Sextons retirement. The subsequent urgent care doctors have sometimes made risky decisions, including a misdiagnosis that led to a life-threatening illness and an unsafe withdrawal from medication.
While most staff members are kind and professional, there are occasional exceptions. Dr. Shah from the E2 department is exceptional and saved my life when I was in septic shock due to an urgent care doctors malpractice.
Scheduling appointments with specialists can be challenging, but the quality of care makes it worthwhile. Overall, VA care outperforms private care on average, with a few urgent care exceptions.
