04-2025 David Shin, MD in Best 15 MEDICAL SERVICES near Mineola, NYPeter Edward ONeill, MD - Garden City Daniel Acevedo: Iāve worked in Healthcare for many years. Dr.OāNeill has amazing bedside manners and does not rush. I waited many months to get an appointment with him, but it was well worth the wait!
James Drakakis, DO - Mineola Katharine ODette: There is absolutely no doctor better than him. I have the highest expectations, and he exceeds them. He is incredibly smart, good at what he does, always open to discussing alternative options, and easily accessible and approachable. I trust him and his expert opinion on everything. My husband jokes, āHow do you think we picked out our fence?ā As if I ask him advice on everything. I usually think Iām smarter than most doctors but I defer to this one on everything. He even realizes more things on my heart testing results then even my cardiologist. He is all my doctors in one. I use my nephrologist as if he is my primary care physician. Incredible! No one like him! One of a kind!
NYU Langone Health - New York Sean W: great, the er was efficient, given pain meds and Iv within 1 hour arriving. Nurse and doctor from the er to the surgery room and floor nurse were all very kind and friendly
Dr. Preeti Mehta, MD at Lake Success, NY - North New Hyde Park Amy Eisenberg: The most disappointing Doctor my family has ever gone to. The communication is awful. I left a ton of messages and the doctor hasnāt called back. My daughter was sent for a test to figure out why she is constantly nauseous but the CT scan she had to drink a thick milky like substance and she was too nauseous to get it down. I called and got the PA and asked. She said she would speak to the doctor and call back. Weeks ago and we still havenāt heard back. Called the office again and asked to speak specifically to the doctor and expressed how my other calls werenāt answered and that I am very upset by the lack of communication. She said she would pass this along to the doctor and still no call back. Went to Dr Preehta for help and answers as my daughter has been nauseous for 4 years and no one can figure out why. What a complete waste of our time and money and so beyond disappointed in this doctor. Just awful the lack of care and communication.
NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center - New York Waheed Abdul: My wife was recently admitted in NYP for car-t cell transplant, and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The facility was clean, well-organized, and efficient. The reception staff was friendly and made the check-in process seamless.
Her doctors were not only knowledgeable but also took the time to thoroughly explain my condition and treatment options. The nursing staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. I truly appreciated their patience and professionalism.
Oncologist Dr Mejia is an outstanding physician.
The hospital also maintained excellent hygiene and safety protocols, which made me feel secure during my visit. Overall, Iām extremely grateful for the outstanding care I received and would highly recommend NYP to anyone in need of medical attention.
NYC Health Hospitals / Bellevue - New York Ann-Marie: The ER is scary and I was there for three days. The food was not bad. The warm dinner rolls and warm cookies were delicious! The nurses were excellent and so nice. The PCAās were 50/50. Half were Nice and the other half did not do their job And had a bad attitude. The doctors were excellent. Thank you for taking good care of me!
ColumbiaDoctors - Midtown - New York Jamie Caban: I am very surprised about the reviews here. I had an excellent time at the blood lab, the nice women drawing my blood was Andrea. She was phenomenal and reception and security are very kind. Andrea took 1 minute to draw and used a baby needle on me. It didnāt hurt and I can be difficult with needles sometimes. Excellent. Will be coming back.
New York Presbyterian Hospital - New York Jamie Williams: Extremely slow!!! Came in at 2PM & itās just about midnight now and I have yet to be seen by a Doctor smh Never again!
I was told that CT scan results can take anywhere from 2-4 hours.
The medical personnel here are literally just dragging their feet and barely doing anything in the emergency department.
Absolutely no communication or updates.
The Mount Sinai Hospital - New York Li: I always had a great experience from Mt. Sinai (in the ER Department). However I had surgery in the GP-2 at 1468 Madison, and the aftercare was not well. They also do not give enough information on the plan beforehand for you to know what to expect. So in periOperative care department/area, I got out at 4:20 PM on November 3rd. I was trying to close the curtain, but barely had the energy to walk or get up. The small drop-down table on the chair flipped down, and the 4 ounce apple juice fell on the floor. The male, older nurse got angry and irate. Then told me I need leave. He actually had the audacity to later come and pick a fight (high tone and quick words) with me (very poor bedside manner); he could have just easily said āsorry there was a misunderstanding.ā I told him we were probably having a cultural difference, and I told him he was being unprofessional. He kept trying to argue with me, but I asked him to stop. I wanted to get out of there so fast, I didnāt brush my teeth and put my used robe, sheets, and cover in the soiled laundry hamper (I didnāt want anybody complaining about any of my mess). I havenāt eaten since yesterday, but my appetite is gone for today (that was enough argument to last me for the week). The other fifty nurses were kind and nice.
Mount Sinai West - New York Nia Phipps: If you can go elsewhere, please do. This Hospital is 100% unfit to operate and the management team should take some time to reassess operations. Patients are left in hallways vomiting , and shared treatment rooms where you are forced to discuss your condition with an audience (about 10 other people in the room). Emergency rooms naturally have long waits so that didnt really bother me. What did was the patients lining the halls, staff asking patients to stand and wait to be treated, nurses inserting IVs into patients while the patient next to them is actively hacking with no mask (thats not even sanitary).
Please note the gross disorganization is not the fault of the nurses and doctors who despite being overloaded, physically and verbally assaulted by patients still did their best to work as quickly as possible.
I strongly implore you to search up a new hospital, once you check in you have to pay regardless so dont waste time figuring out when its too late. I also implore this hospital to revisit their diversion plan, re-train those senior who are making pertinent decisions as the mental and physical well-being of both patients and nurses are at risk. I got fluids and an X-ray and my pre-insurance bill was just over 2k. Healthcare is too expensive for this type of behavior, all patients deserve quality care.
