Best 18 MEDICAL SERVICES near Mineola, NY (Part 2)
04-2025 Dr. Preeti Mehta, MD at Lake Success, NY in Best 18 MEDICAL SERVICES near Mineola, NY (Part 2)ColumbiaDoctors - Midtown - New York Jamie Caban: I am very surprised about the reviews here. I had an excellent time at the blood lab, the nice women drawing my blood was Andrea. She was phenomenal and reception and security are very kind. Andrea took 1 minute to draw and used a baby needle on me. It didnāt hurt and I can be difficult with needles sometimes. Excellent. Will be coming back.
New York Presbyterian Hospital - New York Jamie Williams: Extremely slow!!! Came in at 2PM & itās just about midnight now and I have yet to be seen by a Doctor smh Never again!
I was told that CT scan results can take anywhere from 2-4 hours.
The medical personnel here are literally just dragging their feet and barely doing anything in the emergency department.
Absolutely no communication or updates.
The Mount Sinai Hospital - New York Li: I always had a great experience from Mt. Sinai (in the ER Department). However I had surgery in the GP-2 at 1468 Madison, and the aftercare was not well. They also do not give enough information on the plan beforehand for you to know what to expect. So in periOperative care department/area, I got out at 4:20 PM on November 3rd. I was trying to close the curtain, but barely had the energy to walk or get up. The small drop-down table on the chair flipped down, and the 4 ounce apple juice fell on the floor. The male, older nurse got angry and irate. Then told me I need leave. He actually had the audacity to later come and pick a fight (high tone and quick words) with me (very poor bedside manner); he could have just easily said āsorry there was a misunderstanding.ā I told him we were probably having a cultural difference, and I told him he was being unprofessional. He kept trying to argue with me, but I asked him to stop. I wanted to get out of there so fast, I didnāt brush my teeth and put my used robe, sheets, and cover in the soiled laundry hamper (I didnāt want anybody complaining about any of my mess). I havenāt eaten since yesterday, but my appetite is gone for today (that was enough argument to last me for the week). The other fifty nurses were kind and nice.
Mount Sinai West - New York Nia Phipps: If you can go elsewhere, please do. This Hospital is 100% unfit to operate and the management team should take some time to reassess operations. Patients are left in hallways vomiting , and shared treatment rooms where you are forced to discuss your condition with an audience (about 10 other people in the room). Emergency rooms naturally have long waits so that didnt really bother me. What did was the patients lining the halls, staff asking patients to stand and wait to be treated, nurses inserting IVs into patients while the patient next to them is actively hacking with no mask (thats not even sanitary).
Please note the gross disorganization is not the fault of the nurses and doctors who despite being overloaded, physically and verbally assaulted by patients still did their best to work as quickly as possible.
I strongly implore you to search up a new hospital, once you check in you have to pay regardless so dont waste time figuring out when its too late. I also implore this hospital to revisit their diversion plan, re-train those senior who are making pertinent decisions as the mental and physical well-being of both patients and nurses are at risk. I got fluids and an X-ray and my pre-insurance bill was just over 2k. Healthcare is too expensive for this type of behavior, all patients deserve quality care.
NYC Health Hospitals/Harlem - New York Ronnie Padmore: Night and Day...the same in theory but 2 separate experiences altogether. For example, the hospital stay experience. During the day the patient is bombarded with numerous doctors, nurses, tests, X-rays, needles, you name it. At night, its like a ghost town. Patients are left unattended, ignored by the night staff. You can press the nurse call button a thousand times and no one will respond. Nighttime hours are critical and the same attention administered during the day should be given in the overnight hours. Those are the critical hours when things can take a dramatic turn, for better or worse. It leads one to wonder if things are this way because the staff is under the assumption that the bosses are at home sleeping? The same level of care should be given 24/7.
Lenox Hill Hospital - New York Ronald Coleman: Firstly, I want to acknowledge the outstanding service provided by Dr. Oh and the attending nurses who provided exceptional care during my stay. Dr. Oh was very detailed and transparent. I never had any type of surgery prior to 2/24, but I didnāt have any anxiety going into the OR. I was made to feel at ease and assured that I would be well taken care of and I was. I want to highlight my first and best nurse Alice. What a delight! Great energy and attentiveness to go along with outstanding care and compassion. She truly went above and beyond and I could tell that she enjoys being of service to her patients. I really wished she was my nurse for my entire stay because she absolutely separated herself from the other attending nurses. Veronica, another nurse, provided noteworthy care as did Starlin, another nurse who was very nice, gentle and courteous. This would have been a 5 star review had I not had the unfortunate displeasure of witnessing as well as receiving blatant rudeness from the receptionist named Maddie. What a disrespectful, unprofessional and crass individual. On two occasions I witnessed her answer the line when the gentleman I shared a room with called and asked for assistance getting to the restroom. She answered and asked what was needed and when she was told what was needed she simply hung up the phone without saying anything. No āok someone will be there shortlyā or any other type of explanation or assurance that help would be en route as soon as possible so he had to run the risk of potentially injuring himself from going to the restroom alone. Something the staff constantly reiterated that we should not do. Later that evening I pressed the call button, she asked what I needed and I asked if someone can come close our door to which she gave no reply and simply hung up the phone just as she had done to my roommate earlier in the day. I pressed the call button again, she picked up and said āhave at it.ā Of course I contacted the nurses admin and reported her. Unfortunately, thereās always ONE. May she have all the days she deserves. āŗļøāŗļøāŗļø
Tisch Hospital - New York Agnes Lekk: I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Tisch Hospital and all the medical and nursing staff for the excellent care they provided me during the birth of my child. From the first moment I felt safe, supported and warm, invaluable elements in such an important moment of my life. A special thank you to my gynecologist, Dr Justin Brandt, for everything he has done for me, his dedication, patience and impeccable scientific training. His presence gave me strength and confidence at every step of this beautiful but demanding route.
His patience, scientific excellence and human approach made the birth of my child a beautiful and safe experience. My heartfelt thanks to the whole team for their excellent care and support!ā
There really are no words to express how grateful and pleased I am. The paediatricians, the nursing staff, the excellent gynecologists and the entire maternity department are all unique. I thank God for sending me this amazing doctor Dr. Brandt!
Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital - New York Voy Anuszkiewicz: This facility and staff is world-class in every aspect of operations. The environment is calm and soothing, super clean, Starbucks coffee and pastries sold at cost. I am very genuinely impressed and high recommend their medical services.
NY Presbyterian Weill Cornell University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell - New York Kerlyn I: This hospital did not meet my expectations because it is too expensive and when I requested an MRI for my autistic son, they did not know how to answer me or give me options. What they tell you is that if you want to do more tests, they will not help you with your concerns about autism. The worst thing of all is that they are not clear from the beginning. They also do not let you pay a small amount of money and they send you a form knowing that I do not apply for anything. Because in this state they only look at what your partner earns without seeing that the other party does not work and has expenses everywhere. Really, health care should not be so expensive for those of us who pay taxes and have children with conditions.
ColumbiaDoctors - Third Avenue - New York PhilYouIn: Visited the Opthamologist department on the second floor. Lots of seating in the waiting room, which was good because the place was packed. Was called in at 12:15 for my noon appointment, which was fine with me. Office is a labyrinth of exam rooms and waiting rooms, all spotlessly clean. Everyone working there is friendly and knowledgeable, and behaved professionally. Terrific experience.
