2 /5 Vivien C: I have been a consistent patient of Dr. Yangs for the past few years. I have so far had very simple dental needs, and as a result found Fidi dental convenient and good enough for my needs. However, I recently completed my Invisalign treatment with them, which has completely changed my perspective. They do not provide patients with upfront information about costs and fees unless pressed, and even when pressed, the information is inconsistent and changes depending on when you ask and who are you speaking to. They relied on the fact that the people at the desks are completely separate from the practitioners, meaning they could each provide different information and then say "oh Im not sure who told you that" or "I can only tell you what I see in front of me" to justify discrepancies. Dr. Yang was also incredible nonchalant about costs, which I found frustrating and demeaning. It was also clear that the way the office has been set up means that the people working at the front desk - who Im sure are not privy to or able to make decisions about cost structures - bear the brunt of patient frustration. This is unfair to those staff members and patients.
