Worst stylist , horrible job, horrible attitude after, and possibly the worst customer service from a manager. I was referred Yan by my stylist from another Supercuts cuz she was leaving. I told Yan I wanted Sunkist natural highlights that start halfway down and grown out. I showed him a picture and said this is how I want it. He acknowledged by saying “you want grown out look natural look that frames the face” I said yes. I continued to sat several times, I Do Not Want chunky highlights, I don’t want anything close to the scalp, I don’t like stripes where my hair looks frosted or very blond.. that I don’t like drastic contrasts. He acknowledged & said no problem.
As for the cut, I showed him two pics and I said I want it textured & he said u want kind of a shaggy look, and I said kind of I DONT WANT tons of layers that will flip and look like a Christmas tree. And I want a heavy bottom not so many layers.
So I trusted him based on the referral and I said all the things I didn’t want enough, to know I was going to be ok. I was looking down my phone working while he blow dried my hair.. I look up and it was the opposite of what I asked for and exactly what I said repeatedly NOT TO DO! When I said , why is it white & why do I have so many layers u
(He even told me he want doing a lot of layers around my neck) , but I got exactly all these layers I didn’t want? He responds with a shrug, fist on hip, and says with a half rolled eye look & attitude “ well u didn’t want me to blend it, so I didn’t”. I was in such a hurry I just paid and left. $245!!!!
I called the manager the next day and she said they can’t help me and for me to go back to my other stylist to fix it. My stylist had only one day & didn’t have opening. So when I called the manager back to say there wasn’t an opening, she said “oh well, there isn’t anything I can do about that” . I got so mad.. that I ended up having to go the Ramsey location and had to get all my hair cut off and remove all the white frosted highlights. Miriam in Ramsey saved me. I was so embarrassed by my hair. I had to pay to get rid of what Yan did to me. For a horrible white/silver frosted highlights that were extremely uneven, and a butchered haircut that was everything I said Not TO Do! I wish I could call the owner to tell them how horrible Yan is and disgusting of a customer service by their manager. I posted pics here of what I showed him and he confirmed that he can do it in his 13years of experience (this due looks like someone came out of beauty school) what I wanted and what I got. The color was worse in person, and the cut made me look like a squid & a Xmas tree.

Midtown Hair - Canton Morgan Green: Noel has always done the boys hair if I don’t! She’s great! Environment is small (which I enjoy more than a huge salon) but very cozy! They do their best to accommodate you♥️
The Beauty Bar - Canton Natalie Wendig: Wow! Amazing job by Danielle with my hair color and cut. I have been trying to achieve this look for several years and each time it has not turned out as I had hoped. Danielle listened to my ideas (and they weren’t very clear because I don’t have a lot of experience with how to ask for what I would like with my hair) and got it spot on. Same with the cut. I had a direction I wanted to go but wasn’t sure what to do. She educated me and gave me a few different options that would meet my needs and it looks amazing. I love my hair. I have never smiled as much and been so “wow-ed” before. She is a very skilled stylist and sweet person. Thank you so much Danielle!
Kelehers Cuts - Potsdam Mark Stocker: Found this place by accident, Chelsea is awesome. Best haircut Ive had in years. She was patient and kind, even stayed open past her closing time to accommodate me. Very reasonable prices, super kind professional. I urge anyone that needs a haircut to come here. Her salon is next door to her home, kinda in the country but 2 minutes out of Potsdam. I assure you its worth a little drive!!!!
total profection salon - Canton Stacy: Very cozy shop... Sabrina is friendly and makes you feel at home... Im knew to the area and picked her salon because its close to where I live... Was nervous going to a new person... But she did a great job... Very pleased and I will continue to let her cut my hair...

B Hair Studio - Massena Mara Webster: I scheduled a hair dye appointment and was paired with Georgia. She was a sweetheart and patient with my request, especially since the job was going to use quite a bit of reds+pink, blues, and purple!
Her attentiveness was appreciated as well, since we had to work on brightening my hair too.
And it came out gorgeous!
The process was long but worth it, and we were both excited at the results. B hair studio is a new favorite to go to, thank you Georgia!
Studio 162 Full Services Salon - Massena Stormi Gardner: I went to Studio 162 for the first time and left with the worst nails I’ve ever even witnessed. Luckily for me they didn’t even last a whole day. The nails were lumpy, mismatched colors, and came off within less than 24 hours. I reached out to the artist, Riley, about my concern (messaged nicely and even left a tip because she still devoted time to me) just to be met with a rude response. I even sent her these images and was then blocked.
Unfortunately I didn’t realize until after the fact that some friends of mine have gone through this same experience.
