1 /5 njoud alsharif: The worst experience ever,
My baby was two days old, and I wanted to check on her temperature because we had two different temperature on two different thermometers , and in the hospital they checked on her and her temperature was normal but the doctor who was there was so rude while speaking with us, she was speaking like she is superior over others. She didn’t let us go to the children hospital and she threat us without any reason that she will call CPS if we refuse to treat our child. I was two days postpartum and they put us on a cold room after they tried to put the bed next to addicted people and people who are vomiting, the ER was a total mess and not clean at all!!! They tried to take blood sample from my daughter and they poked the needle in one place and came out from another!! They tried a lot and they took a blood sample after me and my daughter were tired of crying. They tried to put the catheter to her and the only thing they did was torturing her and ended up by failing to take a Urin sample. We stayed in a cold room shivering on a bed that the mattress kept falling from it and it was so hard to breastfeed while sitting on it. We were transferred to the children hospital after 9 hours of waiting for the EMT. My daughter was totally fine and nothing is wrong with her so they discharged us after 36 hours of that blood sample. We thought we finally going to get rid off that situation but they called us back to the children hospital ER because there was a bacteria growing in the blood Culture sample, my daughter had to put an IV and cry more and more from the pain just so they can take another blood culture sample from her..and guess what the bacteria was not from my daughter blood and it was from a bad collection that they did in Jack D. Weiler ER.. we had to experience all of that and my daughter had to take antibiotics and they had to take a spinal fluid culture from her without having any symptoms just because we went to double check on her temperature!! even if they did the right thing to protect my daughter if she had anything but the attitude and the way they treated us in the ER was awful and disgusting thankfully till now I didn’t have postpartum depression from this experience.
