Gabrielle: Amazing haircut by an amazing hair stylist! I got layers and a V cut. You can just tell how talented Melissa is. She knew exactly how to cut my hair the way I’ve wanted it for so long but I couldn’t find anyone who could do it right until I found her! I am so happy I found this salon. Highly recommend.
Valerie Pitka: I booked an appointment two weeks in advance for highlights for my teenager, with the understanding that the service would cost $99. However, when we arrived and showed the stylist an inspiration photo of a girl with hair similar to my daughters, the stylist immediately dismissed it, saying that those highlights would end up looking like a "zebra." She then told us that if we wanted her to "expertly" place the highlights using her years of knowledge, it would start at $300—a far cry from what we were initially quoted. My daughter had highlights in the past and I said, we wanted it like that and she said couldnt highlight her as a partial because if she went over the same piece, it would not be the same color and look bad (my daughter only had 5 pieces from before and she said that would be a problem).
Throughout the conversation, she repeatedly emphasized how her expertise would cost a lot more, making it clear that either she didn’t want to do the highlights or was just trying to upsell us significantly. After about five minutes of this, we decided to leave, disappointed and frustrated by the unprofessionalism and lack of transparency. I was really looking forward to this appointment, and it was incredibly disheartening to experience such poor service. I would not recommend this stylist based on my experience.
Jeffrey McGahee: I am new to the area and needed a new hair stylist. Fortunately for me, I found this salon! I came in as a walk in client, was taken straight away. My haircut was amazing! Dawn made me feel as if she had known me my whole life! I loved the haircut!! The prices were awesome! Thank you for the great service, great haircut, and warm welcome. Did Madison judge me? Make me feel terrible about it? Absolutely not. She immediately agreed that it needed some TLC and did not suit my vibe. I had never felt so reassured in someones vision for me and the fact that she knew immediately what my vibe was. She got to work and my hair was ...insanely beautiful. I mean she did magic.
I knew I had to come back. Madison took the time to explain everything to me—how to style my hair, how to care for it, and how to nurture it back to health.
How many cycles later. She has CHANGED my hair entirely. I now constantly get compliments on it. It is the healthiest it has ever been and is growing like a weed. It is glossy, easy to work with and has such a lovely texture. She has taught me so much about hair care, styling, my wash cycle and more to keep it healthy and educate me on how to do so.
I cannot express enough how profoundly my hair has changed thanks to the dedication and artistry she pours into her work.
She is basically a fairy godmother, she works wonders.
The salon is private, which is perfect for people who need reduced noise or a more sensory friendly experience like myself. Madison is talented and can do such fun cuts and incredible colors- especially alternative style cuts which is VERY hard to find!
