2 /5 Sunny Chung: I came here for a haircut and Annie who washed my hair did a wonderful job. She was very friendly. The man who cut my hair did not understand Cantonese or English, but the lady (Elaine?) in the front translated for him. She was very nice. I asked for long layers and she explained it to him and asked for the back to be straight. It was a $40 hair cut and when I was never shown the back of my hair. He never compared the lengths of the sides. I got home and saw it is incredibly slanted in the back and I live far from Flushing. The left side is significantly longer than the right side. I will certainly not be going back to the same person if I go to New Wave Beauty Salon again.

5 /5 Amy Jammer: I have been coming to New Wave for 15 yrs now and I would never go anywhere else. I come here for hair extensions, keratin treatments, color, and cut. I can’t say enough about how amazing Jackie is. Not only is she talented , professional, and always up to date with the latest trends, but she is kind and gracious. With her expertise and attention to detail, you are getting the highest quality of hair care. She always finds time to fit me in her busy schedule when I need to get a hair service pronto. I honestly won’t let anyone else touch my hair.

5 /5 elsa paulino: I came here for haircut and color with Jaqueline. FIVE stars to Jacqueline. She did a great job. The only thing I did not like was the environment. The salon is messy, cluttered, and a homeless person walks inside the salon. Terrible. ONE star for the environment.

She knew exactly what was looking for when talking about my hair…it was refreshing, especially with really curly hair!! I also enjoyed the atmosphere, it was very homey and the people were super friendly! I found my new place after my salon closed! I rarely write reviews, but I feel Jackie deserves it!
