1 /5 M: I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the treatment I received at Presbyterian Hospital last night 10 March 2025. I arrived at the emergency room with severe, non-stop tooth pain that felt unbearable. I believed the hospital would provide the urgent care I needed, but instead, I was left waiting for over tow hours without receiving any medical attention.
When I repeatedly asked the nurses when a doctor would see me, their responses were dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. They told me, *“You are not bleeding, so your condition is not that bad.”* Such a response was not only disrespectful but also demonstrated a complete disregard for the pain I was experiencing.
Due to their rudeness, humiliation, and neglect, I ultimately passed out from pain and exhaustion in the emergency room. Despite this, the staff continued to ignore my condition and showed no urgency or concern. When I regained consciousness and asked about my situation, I was again told I would have to wait for a doctor, but no one came to check on me.
Eventually, close to midnight, I was told by the nurses that if I wanted to continue waiting, I could; otherwise, I was free to leave the hospital. The lack of care, disrespect, and complete absence of professionalism left me feeling humiliated, neglected, and traumatized by an experience that was supposed to provide me with urgent care.
I expect this complaint to be taken seriously and addressed appropriately. I would appreciate a formal response explaining why I was treated this way and what measures will be implemented to ensure other patients do not suffer the same mistreatment and disrespect.
