1 /5 Josh Harrington: My experience at this establishment was deplorable at best . Giving it a single star because that is the lowest possible rating I can give. In my short encounter with the manager this was without a doubt the most unpleasant and insulting "costumer service" I have ever encountered. My friend needed his car looked at so I used a truck to tow his vehicle on a tow dolly. After vague directions on where to park the vehicle I had to back the vehicle into a caged parking lot with only one way in. After less than 5 minutes, avoiding traffic in a busy intersection and a woman who decided to park directly behind me then to the side of me, I managed to back the vehicle in by myself. Then the manager came out and instead of telling me where to drop off the vehicle or help, began swearing at me and insulting me. He accused me of not being able to back in a vehicle, claiming "A f****** bus" could fit through. When I tried explaining to him why I was having minor trouble (traffic, other vehicles parked in the way) and asked why he was acting in that way he responded "Youre costing me business" and "If you dont like it go somewhere else". After again asking what was wrong with him he told me to "Get the f*** out of here" and walked away. Insulting and unpleasant was what I felt, but my friend felt he was denied service because of his race. When he initially went in to ask if Pikes Auto Services to look at his vehicle they were vague with him saying they were "too busy" and "to take his vehicle somewhere else" even though this was the place my friend wanted to drop off his car. The strange thing about this is that there were maybe two cars at this place to be serviced (they told my friend next week for his car) and everyone in this shop was sitting around on their phones talking. Im not sure what the reasoning was behind this unpleasant service but they were either too lazy to even look or it was indeed because of my friends race. As I asked around town about the reputation of this establishment I told that Pikes Auto Service "will rip you off", "hates college students", and one of the employees "is a nice guy but would come after you with a wrench", whatever that means. I followed up the next by calling Pikes to see if there was some sort of reasoning behind this and I was again talking to the manager whos mood hadnt changed after he figured out who I was. Not only did the manager hang up on me three separate times but he proceeded to tell me that he doesnt do business with "kids" and never denied the fact that he turned away friend based on his race. In conclusion, DO NOT come here if you are a college student or if you appear to be at that age or younger or you will be discriminated and treated with no respect. I would highly advise whomever is reading this to take their business somewhere else because if thats how the manager treats people then I cant imagine how the rest of his shop is run.
