She had clearly communicated her preferences beforehand, but Amy, the nail technician, didn’t seem to make any effort to deliver what was requested. When the nails turned out wrong, Amy tried to blame my friend, claiming she should have picked a different color—despite the fact that the issue had nothing to do with color, but rather execution.
It’s frustrating that they didn’t take the inspiration picture into full account. If they weren’t able to achieve the look or didn’t have the proper products, that should have been communicated before starting. Instead, my friend ended up paying for nails she wasn’t happy with and leaving feeling gaslighted by the staff.
To make matters worse, when we inquired about the pricing, they kept changing the numbers, making it hard to know what the actual cost would be. This lack of transparency made the entire experience feel even more frustrating and dishonest.
This kind of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. If you cant do something properly or don’t have the resources to meet expectations, be upfront about it! People work hard for their money, and no one should have to spend it on a service that leaves them frustrated and unsatisfied. I wouldn’t recommend this salon to anyone who expects quality or professionalism.
