Sleightsburgh Park - Port Ewen (NY)

4 /5 Michael Reis: Niche, small park with boat launch, potential fishing area and limited partially maintained trail system. Trails lead to views of the Rondout and Hudson Rivers - with tide-dependent wading opening more trails & beach areas. Muddy feet possible if not mindful on trails. Trail maintenance and picnic tables would be an improvement.

4 /5 Gene Golden: Not the prettiest boat ramp, but interesting nonetheless. The view across the river (this day) included some old boats and barges. There is also a "Cruise Ship in dock for restoration. Its not so much a destination, as it is a decent place to stop driving, rest, and look at water.

5 /5 JJ Schimpf: This quiet little park has a nice view of the Roundout creek. There are a couple of benches and a few picnic tables on a concrete pier that are perfect for a picnic or watching the boats go by. Look to your left and you’ll see downtown kingston, then look to your right and you’ll just see the Hudson River. There’s a boat ramp and a canoe/kayak launch. There isn’t a lot of parking, but I’ve never seen it busy. The access road is narrow and a little bumpy, take your time and know that once you make it through the reeds the park will be there. There is a trail that leads out towards the Hudson River. I’ve haven’t hiked it yet, but I’ve hear you should plan your adventure around low tide.

4 /5 Brian Doherty: Nice, clean boat ramp, with a modern kayak dock. Can get filled up on weekends when the weather is nice as its parking area is not overly large but I would not want it any bigger and Ive always managed.
