5 /5 JJ Schimpf: This quiet little park has a nice view of the Roundout creek. There are a couple of benches and a few picnic tables on a concrete pier that are perfect for a picnic or watching the boats go by. Look to your left and you’ll see downtown kingston, then look to your right and you’ll just see the Hudson River. There’s a boat ramp and a canoe/kayak launch. There isn’t a lot of parking, but I’ve never seen it busy.
The access road is narrow and a little bumpy, take your time and know that once you make it through the reeds the park will be there.
There is a trail that leads out towards the Hudson River. I’ve haven’t hiked it yet, but I’ve hear you should plan your adventure around low tide.
