5 /5 David Hassoun: I think I followed the wrong trail, but thats because Im an idiot. I blame being color blind and not knowing which color trail to follow. I was looking for a place to spend the night because Im out of shape didnt think I could make it back up the hills. Kidding, but I did send a message to my wife telling her where I was in case I didnt come home. Beautiful trail, well kept and well marked. Peaceful. I loved it and plan to go back.

Got to cross the Stream a couple times. maybe were in shape but it wasnt super challenging even though they had Hills. It was absolutely gorgeous and would recommend this hike to anyone in the area

5 /5 Ryan Mazierski: The Plotter Kill Preserve is a nice place to take a hike in the Capital Region. The trails are maintained and easy to follow. Fencing can be found near the areas where there is a risk of a fall. There is a great deal of signage on the trails to direct you where to go. The views of the waterfalls are very good. There are nice viewing platforms to get a glimpse of the different waterfalls. A few trails run parallel to the stream and these are very nice. The trails are well shaded and this is a good place to go when it is warmer. There are some steep spots on the trails, so you have to watch your footing. Cell service in the area is good. At the parking areas they ask you to take a picture of the trail map for safety. It would be good if they offered paper trail maps or you could download them to your phone. Definitely, a hidden gem in the area. If you’re up for a nice hike to catch a glimpse of some nice waterfalls this hike is for you.

5 /5 brandy whitehurst: What a beautiful park! The waterfall was amazing and only a few minutes in. Only small patches of snow left, but you could see some ice around the waterfall in a few places. So pretty!

The Warming Hut - Saratoga Springs

edward lender: One of the nicest places in the Saratoga Springs State Park. You can go in and get warm by the fire. It has heated restrooms and tables to eat on and also a grill outside to cook on in the summer also. Alot of parking for cars and trucks also. All the staff and police are very helpful and can tell you about other things to do in the park. A must see daily from sun up to sun down except they are closed on Sunday.

Charlie Spring - Saratoga Springs

Jim Cullen: Located right next to the entrance to SPAC inside Saratoga Spa State Park. Take Hadleys Beck south, off Avenue of the Pines, right by the Automobile Museum. This spring water is cold, lightly carbonated, with low mineral content. Most people would find it palatable, even if the flavor is just a touch curious! As I understand it, this water is supplied from Geyser Spring, the same source as the mineral water found under the Joseph L. Bruno pavilion across the street from the Automobile Museum. The last time we visited Charlie Spring, in October of 2022, it was not flowing. Usually though these issues are promptly addressed.

Tang Teaching Museum & Art Gallery - Saratoga Springs

Ryan Mazierski: The Tang Teaching Museum & Art Gallery is located on the Skidmore College campus in Saratoga Springs, NY. It has two large gallery rings and two smaller gallery rings. The exhibit spaces are easy to walk around. The museum does have a permanent collection, but often displays traveling or touring art exhibitions. Currently, the works of Alexis Rockman and Mark Dion are on display. The works presented by these artists are interesting, understandable, and enjoyable. Best of all, the museum is free! It takes about an hour or two to see the entire museum. Call ahead for their hours or check their website. Definitely, a nice small art museum for all to see.

Cohoes Falls - Waterford

Z: Beautiful waterfall right across the street with small parking lot. Nice place to stop by for a short walk/stretch with a nice view.

Spruce Mountain - Corinth

Gabe Basalla: Great hike. Heading up is basically all uphill. Its not too hard, and there are a few spots where it levels off for a bit. The view from the tower is beautiful. Its not too buggy, which was nice. I would recommend the hike and will definitely do it again.

Judith Kuzma: I went to see training at Saratoga Racetracks backtrack. This was part of a My Race Horse sponsored event. You could get a could overview of what was happening from the viewing stand.

Burgess Kimball Memorial Park - Ballston Spa

Rick Monroe: Clean family friendly park. Nice play ground for the kids. Bathrooms had soap and air dryers . Only issue is the bathroom doors on the stalls dont lock or close as they were out on backwards. Otherwise everything is A-OKAY .
