Tang Teaching Museum & Art Gallery - Saratoga Springs
Tang Teaching Museum & Art Gallery
Ryan Mazierski: The Tang Teaching Museum & Art Gallery is located on the Skidmore College campus in Saratoga Springs, NY. It has two large gallery rings and two smaller gallery rings. The exhibit spaces are easy to walk around. The museum does have a permanent collection, but often displays traveling or touring art exhibitions. Currently, the works of Alexis Rockman and Mark Dion are on display. The works presented by these artists are interesting, understandable, and enjoyable. Best of all, the museum is free! It takes about an hour or two to see the entire museum. Call ahead for their hours or check their website. Definitely, a nice small art museum for all to see.

Gabe Basalla: Great hike. Heading up is basically all uphill. Its not too hard, and there are a few spots where it levels off for a bit. The view from the tower is beautiful. Its not too buggy, which was nice. I would recommend the hike and will definitely do it again.

Plus, lots and lots of places to picnic, play baseball, tennis, basketball, or just sit and appreciate the beauty of this area by the river. Public restrooms are available. Its across the street from Jumpin Jacks Drive-In, so you dont need to go hungry either. Thats also the place where I would park. Come visit - its beautiful!
