04-2025 Theresa A. Meltz, PA in Best 15 MD and Hospital near Hudson, NY (Part 4)Hudson Veterinary Clinic - Hudson Hannah-Unger Shamirah-Kat (Kat): A great, reliable and trustworthy vet clinic that wont break the bank! I established care here for my new puppy. When we went for our first visit for his 2nd round of shots, the techs and the doctor were AMAZING! Doc really knows a lot about animals and different breeds. He made it such a smooth process. My puppy did not want to leave! Staff is super nice, a very clean and quaint vet clinic, most affordable in the area!
Gregory Pace, MD - Hudson Terry Elmendorf: Dr. Pace did the Lapidus Bunionectomy on me over a week ago, all good thus far. He is very nice and the office staff as well as Columbia Memorial Hospital staff.
Columbia University Irving Medical Center - New York Ccc: Dear Patient Relations Team, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the services I recently experienced at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/Herbert Irving Pavilion. I have several serious concerns: 1. Lack of Translation Services: I do not speak English, and during my interactions with the hospital, no one offered translation assistance. When I called, I expected support to communicate effectively, but this was not provided, making it very difficult for me to understand or be understood. 2. Unauthorized Changes to My Appointment: My appointment time and doctor were changed without my knowledge or consent. I was not informed or asked for approval, which is unacceptable. 3. Switch to a Nurse Practitioner: My appointment was reassigned from a doctor to a nurse practitioner without my agreement. This change was made without any explanation or discussion with me, and I am not comfortable with it. These issues have caused me significant frustration and inconvenience. I request an explanation for why these problems occurred and what steps will be taken to address them. I also urge the hospital to ensure translation services are available for non-English-speaking patients like me in the future. Please respond to me in writing at this email address, and if needed, you can contact me at my phone number
Catherine Shin MD - Hudson Patricia Torcello Catalina: Dr. Chin is a caring professional. She explains her answers to my questions so I can understand my diagnosis and the treatment she recommends. I feel safe and confident with her as my orthopedic doctor and surgeon and recommend her highly.
NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley - Endocrinology - Cold Spring - Cold Spring Todd Seekircher: Absolutely, mind-bogglingly horrible experience. Its almost as if New York Presbyterian is in the business of bad customer experience and PROFIT and zero to do with taking care of peoples health.
1. They are short on primary care physicians
2. Our physician was booking 6+ months out for a physical, went on medical leave, our appointments were canceled with no way to then get our physical unless we switched doctors. Our physician assured us NYP had good "coverage" for her while she was out. NYP would not let another doctor do the appointment unless we formally switched PCPs, at which point we would not be allowed to switch back to our original PCP.
3. When trying to get a (long time) prescription re-filled while our doctor was out, NYP wanted to charge for a telehealth visit, but also NOT allow that doctor to do the annual physical
4. Heard, through the grapevine, not from NYP, that our PCP was no longer on leave, but had left the practice. Called to try to get a new doctor at this location- after 20 minutes on the phone booking dates in July and October because (shocker!) this new doctor is also out on medical leave until then, I was told we would have to have a preliminary "intro" visit with this new doctor because we are new patients, even though Ive been going to this doctors office my whole adult life. Oh, and this intro visit would have a copay charge attached to it.
5. I could continue further but will instead spend the time researching other practices to find a new PCP
