She is great with kids and adults alike. She works quickly but is gentle and my kids always leave with a big smile on their faces. I have heard many people in ITHACA sing her praises on braiding, coloring, styling and cuts. Book early as she is a busy lady!

The prices here are fairer than those of others in the area. V is so lovely; she even offered to grab me something from the store, and her daughter was a pleasure to talk with while she was doing my hair.

Gordon Beck: I asked for a high skin fade on the sides and back but the barber basically just shaved my head up half way and left a hard line between the skin and hair, no fade. After seeing this I asked him to blend it in but he just trimmed above it with scissors and left the line. I had seen other reviews warning people not to ask for fades here, but i assumed that after charging 50 dollars a cut it would be rediculous for the barber not to know how to make a fade. I guess I was wrong.

Lauren Ryan Hamacher: Rose of Transcend Salon is absolutely incredible, and I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Ithaca area! I came in looking to get my hair color fixed from another local hairstylist (not associated with Transcend Salon) as my highlights were far too bright, and showing up different colors in different areas of my hair. Rose took the time to truly understand what I wanted with my color, and really thought through the best solution before working. Seeing my new hair color at the end of my appointment, I knew I would become a client of hers permanently! She did an excellent job, it was exactly what I wanted. She also gave me a cute little bang trim! Aside from her hair skills, Rose is a delightful person and you will love chatting with her as you get your hair done!
