Get yourself an SNS manicure— my nails last four weeks without chipping every time… even if I’ve gone bowling!!

Danella Irizar I walked in on a Saturday and they immediately started working on my nails. I had a previous sparkling SNS manicure that was tough to remove and my index finger nail broken and they were incredibly gentle. Maggie did my nails just as I wanted from a pic I showed her. She took her time tending to my nails and cleaning them all over. I will not go anywhere else from now on. Definitely recommend this place.

Jamie Wernet A few years ago I decided I wanted to be a nail girlie. When a different salon totally cooked my nails with Gel-X extensions, I thought I could never keep it up. Now you’ll find me at M&M studios every three weeks, happy as a clam and sporting gorgeous nails. I do a gel fill so I don’t have to soak my nails in acetone. It looks perfect and honestly lasts me 3-4 weeks. I only come back in week three because the regrowth bugs me — I’ve never had a chip or a break. Kana does a beautiful job every time. And, they’re dog friendly and so sweet to my dog when she tags along. So glad I found this place!

Julia This place is sooo good! My friend took me here for my birthday. I noticed the technician was very careful and meticulous when prepping my nails and doing the art. She looked very carefully at my nails and took her time. I tried another salon closer to my apartment after that but the attentiveness and quality wasn’t as good so I came back to M&M and was not disappointed! Again received great care and attention to detail and I feel that the gel they use is much better quality.

The technician assigned to me clearly lacked the necessary skills. My cuticles were left chipped and uneven, and the polish started chipping the very next day. I spent nearly two hours in the salon for just a regular 1 color gel polish with no design, yet the results were far from what I requested. Despite my efforts to communicate my expectations with pictures, the language barrier made it impossible to convey what I needed. When I raised my concerns with the manager, she was dismissive. Her suggestion that I return the next day to fix my nails, risking further damage in the process, showed a complete lack of compassion and concern for customer satisfaction. It felt as though her only priority was making money, not ensuring a positive client experience. I chose this salon based on trust, and I am incredibly frustrated with the service I received. This experience has made me reconsider my loyalty to this place.

fatima zahra I never post reviews, and this is going to be my first one. I called beforehand to inform about acrylic removal and regular manicure. They confirmed that they do it. I walked in, and they assisted me quickly, though at first the lady said $33, but on call she said it was $29, but we settled that. Later on, as she was removing my acrylics, she was complaining about how hard it is to remove them and that I shouldn’t do it the next time. This is really unprofessional and rude because I am paying for the service, and I even called to inform you that this is the service I would want. After she finishes removing my acrylics, midway she says that I should go pay before she continues with the service which is so disrespectful because no other nail tech was doing it to their client. And when she saw me get up to go pay because I didn’t want to question or make a scene out of it, she just said, No, it’s okay, pay later. I felt extremely discriminated against throughout the whole experience because she wasn’t even doing it right, and she had an attitude the whole time with me. Before applying the regular nail polish, she didn’t perform the right cuticle care, like removing the dead skin around it. She literally half-assed the job. I would not recommend coming here since this is how they treat their customers. I regret not walking out halfway because of how disrespected and discriminated I felt throughout this whole time. They don’t even care to acknowledge their Google reviews or do better because clearly they just copy-paste and then add it to ChatGPT, which they’re going to do to mine too, which says a lot about them.

Lauren E Saucedo Obsessed with this color!! Staff is always so sweet and does an amazing job. I usually get SNS but switched it up for a gel mani. They work so fast and love that they stay open later than others in the area. They don’t over charge or up charge which I appreciate especially for being in the location they are in. This is the only nail salon I’ll go to now days. I recommend calling and either making an appointment or giving them a heads up you are coming in.

Morgan L Leo does the best dip manicure!! Me and multiple of my friends have been coming to him regularly for over 6 months now. He is also such a nice person and we have the best time during appointments! The dip lasts a long time and he grew my nails from starting super short to now super long naturally. Won’t go to anyone else :)

Veronica Yi I’ve been going to artonus for about 6 months now and this has now become my go to place for nail art and extension! they are absolutely amazing! the staff is so sweet and the studio is super cozy! they can do a variety of different styles and are extremely meticulous! i really like that they also help you decide on certain designs, shapes, and colors through a brief consultation. they take the extra time to really understand what you want!

Two nail techs attended to me at once and did an amazing job asking for my preferences, confirming the length/shape I wanted, and painting my nails with painstaking detail. The entire service was very relaxing. Also, the space is large, inviting, and overall super comfortable. Can’t wait for my next visit!

I came in with a photo from their OWN Instagram page, expecting to get the same design—but what I left with looked nothing like it. I brought it up to the nail tech (honestly she seemed like she was inexperience and in training?) and she didn’t know what to do. When I brought it up to the “manager?” (weird guy at the front), instead of acknowledging the issue or offering any kind of solution, he just defended the work and brushed off my concerns. On top of that, their pricing is incredibly misleading. I booked the “Signature Gel Manicure” service listed at $65 on their website, but my total came out to $100. When I asked about the huge discrepancy, I was told it was because I asked for the magnetic sparkle design—which wasn’t clearly explained or priced upfront. To make matters worse, the “manager”awkwardly tried to get me to follow their TikTok and leave a positive review in exchange for a $10 discount. I declined, because that kind of practice feels dishonest and unprofessional. Between the poor results, lack of accountability, and shady pricing, I won’t be returning—and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

Caroline Sheets The nail artists here are so wonderful and meticulous. They really put in the time to making your nails the absolute best they can be. I’m always so incredibly impressed. The ambiance is also really good. Their prices are super reasonable and the staff is so personable!!

Eryn Went in for a gel manicure and pedicure. Pedicure was great, but the gel polish on my pinky chipped after only two days and the gel polish on my other finger completely fell off after a week. Also, whatever they put on my cuticles made them immediately peel, so they were red and sore for a few days after the manicure. For $100 and two hours for the mani and pedi, I’d hoped my nails would look nice for longer than two days.

Nike Koehne Disappointing. I really wanted to like my experience at De Oasis, especially since there are so many positive reviews. But unfortunately, my nails just did not turn out right. I do want to highlight, though, that the prices are really good and everyone was friendly. The lady that did my nails was not very thorough when removing my cuticles, cut me once and did not apply the polish evenly. I feel like I could have given myself a better manicure than this.

Nilah Pettus I actually come here all the time and am usually very happy with my nails, the service, and the ambiance. But Ive been disappointed by the same nail tech for the third time. Unfortunately, she did not give me what I asked for (and paid for) and rushed through the process resulting in a poorly done manicure. My nails had grown very long from my previous sets so I asked for them to be cut shorter while still keeping their almond shape. You can see by the photos (more specifically my left hand, my right looks fine) they are not almond shaped, they are poorly cut, and they are not even. I really do love coming here and love the work by the other nail techs. I think this nail tech has a lot of potential but additional training and patience is needed to ensure this doesnt happen again.

Stella Mooy I’ve given this place multiple chances and that’s on me… I always get the same color (N5) tips with powder and today I noticed it looked sooo different and translucent. I kindly asked them if something changed and they gaslit me and said no I’m wrong… I told them it didn’t look like the sample or a picture (attached) from last time and they didn’t care or offer to change it… instead they just talked about me and rushed me to pay & leave. I will NOT be returning.

C. Delilah “Ladi Dadi” I got the Gel-X, and the woman who did it did a fantastic job! It was pretty pricey, but I would indeed stop by again. I rate it four stars because they dont, well, at least they didnt offer the gel-x specific color polish. And only the regular nail polish colors were offered and used. So, I dont consider it a full gel-x service without using the attended polish for it.

They even offer a drink before you get started. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism. You only have to see the before and after photos to understand that this institute is brilliant! The french manicure is perfect and I can tell, im french!

Irina Kurdiani I’ve been coming to Zara Nails NYC for over three years now, and every manicure and pedicure I have gotten has been top notch. They last without chipping for 4+ weeks. All of the nail technicians are excellent, focused and pay exceptional attention to details. The salon is spotless and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I come into the city from Upstate and it’s 100% worth the trip. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Veronica DaSilva I had the Fiberglass Strengthening Gel Manicure with Natalia. This was THE BEST manicure Ive ever had in my life. Natalia took her time and was super attentive to every little detail. This was my first time getting a fiberglass gel manicure and I did have a previous gel polish on my nails from another salon. She removed the old gel polish with ease and care. If youre looking for special treatment and want amazing nails, this is the place to go. It does take an hour and 45 minutes, but its absolutely worth the time. I will be going back here!!

Gail Segal Quite a treat to have a mani pedi in a private setting. No harsh odors. Only one other client. Great customer service and remarkable attention to detail. The photo may seem basic but if you saw my nails 2 months earlier, the difference is tremendous. They were perfect for my son’s wedding and 2 1/2 weeks later, at a board meeting with 30 year old women in high fashion, I received a number of compliments.

She pays special attention to the cuticle using an electronic filer to remove the excess skin around the nail bed. As a result, each nail looks so well trimmed and perfect. The technique is called European manicure. No more unnecessary cuts from a nipper! My nails always look so shiny, glowy and clean and the manicure lasts a loooong time. I’m never getting a “regular” gel manicure ever again. This is a game changer.

Brooke Feingold I highly recommend Art Up Nail Studio and Jessy in particular. Jessy is a talented nail artist who is a perfectionist. I have been seeing her for over two years and my nails always look pristine. They also last upwards of 6 weeks without chipping which is incredible. I only see her for simple or moderate designs so I can’t speak to extensions or complex designs, but she always executes what I ask for. She has done magnetic, chrome, ombré and French beautifully for me. It’s best to come prepared with a design in mind and photo inspiration, but Jessy always helps me choose when I’m undecided.

Britney Mason I have been coming to Art Up Nail monthly for the last year and have been very happy with their services. The salon is located in the Sola Salon Studios and is very neat and orderly. I have been going to Jessy B for hard gel nails for many months and she always does a very thorough job and my nails always last 4 weeks. I don’t do a lot of designs but I have seen some other customers get more intricate, complex designs and they are stunning. Easy to book via online portal and I like that you can text them to make changes to your appt and/or send inspo pics and ask which service will align with what you want. Great color selection and they have the latest trendy nail techniques/accessories.

T. B. $260 - Detailed nail art took 3.5 hours (instead of 1.5-2 hours it usually takes) and nail art came out sloppy // there was polish stuck on my hands. I told Gail (manager??) but she said too bad I should have paid $10 extra for a senior nail artist even though when I texted her my desired design she didn’t mention that it required a senior nail artist… Place smells like polish with no ventilation. Do not recommend.

Elly The people were nice but unfortunately the nails were not up to my standards whatsoever. I asked for a basic gel x fill which back home at my regular nail salon would’ve taken the lady 40 minutes but it took 90 minutes here. My nails are now super thick and uneven which may be hard to tell from the pictures. When it came time to pay they charged me $71.40 for a FILL which is a ridiculous price when I’ve gotten a fill for $50 that was much better in Boston which is arguably a more expensive city. They taped over the price for a gel fill on their price board but I could see through it and it said $49 so I’m unsure how the price changed to $70. I’ve genuinely never left a review good or bad but I chose this place over the others because of its higher reviews and I’m completely disappointed with the work.

Maddie Kelleher Highly recommend, gel manicure is always perfectly done and never chips. All the manicurists are very precise and make sure each nail is perfect, but they aren’t holding you over or trying to rush you out either. The salon is also so clean and well-maintained.
