Erika has a great sense of color and is gifted in designing a hair style that will bring out your true beauty, You can trust her to do what YOU ask and she will offer you her opinion without being pushy, Her color correction skills were phenomenal. I had the best hair color ever, Red is a very difficult color to remove, but she did a wonderful job with the color correction. I needed a new color and a new haircut. My cut and color are perfect. Her blow dry has lasted 3 days, the longest ever. Without question,I have recommended Erica to many friends (and stangers) and they have all been very happy.

5 /5 Allison Herzil: I just had one of the best haircuts I have ever had by Rosa!! I had very long, wavy in some spots, overgrown layers, and hadnt had a really good haircut in years. Came to this salon for the first time today and I was so happy with my haircut!!!! She listened carefully to what I wanted and was so meticulous with my cut. The end result was perfect! And she was a pleasure to chat with. Will definitely be back.

1 /5 Melissa Marin: While my stylist was nice and talkative, she was definitely NOT able to deliver the haircut I wanted. I showed her a video of the cut I wanted (see attached screenshot) and the cut she gave me (next photo) was far from what I asked for. Rosa cut my face framing layers wayyy too short and not in the style I wanted, despite her making comments at the start of my appointment about other stylists who cut their clients hair way too short and promised to keep my length, but then she ended up doing the same exact thing to me! I definitely do not think this is worth a $150 haircut. It’s going to take me months to grow my hair out to the length I want. From the beginning, I HAD the length available to achieve the cut I wanted, which Rosa was unable to do. On top of that, they don’t even perform the Brazilian Blowout treatment correctly! After they applied the product, they blow dried my hair straight and then flat ironed it. After that, they were supposed to rinse out the product immediately and then apply a bonding spray and finish styling which they completely skipped. I called the official Brazilian Blowout company to confirm this and they sent me a PDF of all the steps in their Brazilian Blowout process (please see attached.) After I explained to them what Gabriel Shimunov’s hair salon did instead, she was shocked that they would let me leave the salon in the middle of my treatment (literally) without finishing it and advised me to rinse immediately in the shower myself rather than leave the product in my hair for 3 days like the salon suggested I do, which is dangerous to myself, babies or pets when I have literal formaldehyde unrinsed in my hair for 3 days straight! That comment came straight from the Brazilian Blowout company themselves. This also could’ve resulted in the BB treatment not lasting as long and leaving my hair with a lot of buildup, heaviness and greasiness. For the price you pay at this salon, I really expected better quality service which I did not receive in EITHER of the treatments I got. Look somewhere else!

LoMo Phillips: So glad I found my curly hair salon in NYC! The salon was clean, chill, and large. Marianna did a fantastic job with my hair and took the time to give lots of tips on how I could style it better. She did the PERFECT hair cut - did away with the split ends, but still kept the length. I felt very well taken care of, and while a bit more pricey, I think it was well worth it given the entire experience. Will definitely be keeping Christo as my go-to salon!

Lorraine Wong: I was just in town visiting, but REALLY needed my hair colored. I was staying in the area and this had the highest reviews… I can totally see why! Once you get up to the 7th floor, it’s a relaxed atmosphere and all of the staff are super friendly. I made an appointment for cut and color and by luck, I got Michelle (the owner), for my color. My home colorist was making it too brassy and I needed to tone it down, but still have a nice dynamic shade. Michelle totally nailed it. The haircut with Paulina was equally amazing. She cleaned up my layers and gave me a cool, modern update to my haircut that moves really well. I’d say it’s expensive (because I’m not from the area) but I think this is what most salons in the area charge, so I don’t think it’s a negative. And of course, you get what you pay for. I also just saw their Insta page and think Blake Lively was just here and I always think she has such gorgeous color. Worth a visit!

Jack Baker: Royal Hair Salon is amazing! Great stylists and beautiful new space. I have been going to the owner, Sura, for years and he is an iconic stylist and master at his craft. He has a very loyal following so might be hard to book with him but I’m sure all the stylist there are great. This is my go to place in NYC. Can’t do better and the price is reasonable.

Kate V: I came to Lilly to get my roots touched up, as well as to fix orange banding from a previous colorist. She recommended we do a keratin treatment for blondes, which I’m glad I did because it helped prevent hair breakage and loss during the bleach treatment. My hair felt amazing! She then fixed the banding and touched up my roots which was an incredibly difficult task because my hair was in very bad shape, with various shades of blonde and yellow and lots of breakage. Not only did she fix it without any breakage, she did it in about 3 hours! Usually my double process takes 5+ hours. And my hair felt soft, when usually bleaching will make it feel dry. Her salon space was very clean, she was extremely knowledgeable and responsive to my concerns/ communication. I don’t have great pictures but I’m including before and after photos.
