2 /5 SFC: The service at the salon was great, but I was extremely disappointed with the outcome of my hair color. As a Black woman, I take a lot of pride in my hair and put significant trust in trying a new salon. Unfortunately, the color turned out too yellow and patchy, which was not what I expected.
To make matters worse, I believe I had an allergic reaction to the products used. When I reached out to the salon, they offered to fix the color but refused to provide a refund or even a partial refund, despite the damage done to my hair.
If you’re a woman of color, I would recommend going to a salon that understands how to work with natural hair and caters to your specific needs. I spent $700 for a result I’m truly unhappy with, and it was a disappointing experience overall. I hope the salon can use this feedback to improve their approach.
