Fox and Jane Salon - Brooklyn Sarah: Got a wonderful haircut from James! I came in with a picture and general set of goals (more volume, lots of texture, face-framing) and he knew exactly what to do. Iām so happy with it! The cut really enhances my curls and gives me so much more shape. Iām always super nervous to go to a new stylist but I trusted the other reviews and they did not disappoint. Overall, a delightful experience that I would highly recommend.
John Hair Salon - Brooklyn Nurcan Senkal: This place always makes sure to work accordingly to your unique hair type. I wasnāt sure if extensions were going to work well with my hair, but they had answers to all of my questions and brought the image i had in my head to life. The products they use work so so good. Not only did i leave the salon with great hair, i left educated with specifics on my hair and how I should take care of it. The before and after is seamless!! It was great talking to John and everyone else at the salon. Overall, love this spot.
Studio S Brooklyn Inc - Brooklyn Alexis Castellano: Iāve been coming to Studio S since they opened and Kali has been doing my hair for the last 3 years. We recently did a huge transformation - going from Blonde to Cherry red and she absolutely killed it!! The inspo pics I showed her canāt even compare to how good my hair came out! Sheās a master of her craft. I canāt recommend her enough!!

We even created a plan to continue to keep my hair in itās optimal health. Also for the first time ever I actually left the salon not only loving the cut but also loving the styling of it (this never happens). I absolutely recommend booking with Marlene.

From haircuts to color, she consistently delivers results that leave me feeling confident and refreshed. What I appreciate most about Christine is how she takes the time to really listen to what I want, while also offering expert advice on what will work best for my hair type and face shape. Whether Im going for a bold new color or just a trim, she always nails it.

As a mom dealing with postnatal shedding, I was in desperate need of a good chop and refresh. I booked an appointment at The Best Little Hair House in Brooklyn with Kate, who I had never worked with before, and I couldnt be happier with the outcome! She did an amazing job, giving me such a cute cut that fits perfectly into this low-maintenance phase of my life.
Its incredible what a good haircut can do for your mood and self-esteem! The salon itself is absolutely adorable, with such amazing vibes. Victoria, the owner, is incredibly welcoming and fun, making the whole experience even better. If youre looking for a fresh look and a positive atmosphere, I highly recommend this place!
Salon 87 - Brooklyn R Yamamoto: Akiko is amazing!! Her Ayurvedic oil massage is everything. She is so talented and sweet, her warm smile made me feel welcomed to the space. Ive got entire body+facial massage for 90 mins and the experience was fantastic. I was sleeping like a baby while getting treatment. It just felt heavenly. Definitely will come back for more when I need a treat for myself. Thank you so so much, Akiko!!!
Sew Brooklyn - Brooklyn Gabrielle Lynch: I came here in December to get my hair done for my birthday and overall was really disappointed in the experience. My appointment started late as the stylist I was booked with was still with a previous client. I waited over an hour with no updates or acknowledgment, and once I was taken into the back by an assistant to start my wash felt pressured into a steam treatment I didnāt plan to get. I had booked with Shawanda (the owner) for my trim, but didnt know she would in fact not be the one to do it and no one communicated that. Additionally, when it was time to blow dry, trim and straighten my hair the stylist still wasnāt finished and had suggested that the assistant start the process although the assistant whispered to her that her the owner said her straightening technique was ānot up to the sew standardā. The suggestion was she start and the stylist would step in if anything went one.
Eventually (and thankfully) the stylist finished her previous client and started my hair but she did not apologise or acknowledge how long I waited. That said the results were beautiful when I left although I did not leave the salon until 5:30 pm when my appointment originally was scheduled to be done around 1:30 pm.
At checkout, they didnāt even have a record of my deposit and I had to dig through emails to prove it. My total was supposed to be $124, but I ended up paying over $200 with the added treatment and tip. Again my hair did look great, but a week later it smelled burnt and now I have heat damage in the back. My natural curls are significantly looser and have straight sections. This was the first time Iāve had my hair straightened in three years and I do not put heat on it regularly so can only assume this occurred during my appointment.
I was recommended this salon by a friend who has had great experiences so I expected different. The wait time, lack of communication, and damage to my hair makes me feel like this experience was not worth it at all. I wonāt be returning.
