5 /5 Mireya Herrera: Had such a lovely overall experience at Studio S. On a hot Brooklyn day I was greeted with a cool Eucalyptus towel and a friendly smile. My cut by Michelle was perfect. For my wavy hair, the proof is in the first wash at home and her cut allowed my natural hairs texture to come through. Michelle was open to my requests and to hearing how my hair behaves. She added her expertise to help me walk out looking great! The salon is clean and inviting and filled with many beautiful well-cared for plants. I enjoyed the entire experience and will definitely be back. Thank you Michelle!

5 /5 Nicolette Lara: I love Korin!!! I used to get my hair done by her while I lived in Austin, and now that Im back in NY, I continue to see her. I have very thick, curly hair, and she knows exactly what to do with it, which is challenging to find in a hairstylist. Further, she goes out of her way to suggest new treatments or products that would work with my texture. I also love her personality. Shes fun to chat with, but she is also working hard at the same time.

5 /5 Sara Mahini: Mariya is one of the best hair stylists I have gone to get my hair done! She has taken me from blonde, back to dark brown, and now highlights. I trust her to make sure my hair stays healthy whenever I want to change it up. She is very transparent on the process and what I should expect, while also including fun recommendations. I couldn’t recommend Mariya more if anyone wants to go blonde or get a fresh haircut and make sure it’s done right!

I booked an appointment at The Best Little Hair House in Brooklyn with Kate, who I had never worked with before, and I couldnt be happier with the outcome! She did an amazing job, giving me such a cute cut that fits perfectly into this low-maintenance phase of my life. Its incredible what a good haircut can do for your mood and self-esteem! The salon itself is absolutely adorable, with such amazing vibes. Victoria, the owner, is incredibly welcoming and fun, making the whole experience even better. If youre looking for a fresh look and a positive atmosphere, I highly recommend this place!

R Yamamoto: Akiko is amazing!! Her Ayurvedic oil massage is everything. She is so talented and sweet, her warm smile made me feel welcomed to the space. Ive got entire body+facial massage for 90 mins and the experience was fantastic. I was sleeping like a baby while getting treatment. It just felt heavenly. Definitely will come back for more when I need a treat for myself. Thank you so so much, Akiko!!!

Gabrielle Lynch: I came here in December to get my hair done for my birthday and overall was really disappointed in the experience. My appointment started late as the stylist I was booked with was still with a previous client. I waited over an hour with no updates or acknowledgment, and once I was taken into the back by an assistant to start my wash felt pressured into a steam treatment I didn’t plan to get. I had booked with Shawanda (the owner) for my trim, but didnt know she would in fact not be the one to do it and no one communicated that. Additionally, when it was time to blow dry, trim and straighten my hair the stylist still wasn’t finished and had suggested that the assistant start the process although the assistant whispered to her that her the owner said her straightening technique was “not up to the sew standard”. The suggestion was she start and the stylist would step in if anything went one. Eventually (and thankfully) the stylist finished her previous client and started my hair but she did not apologise or acknowledge how long I waited. That said the results were beautiful when I left although I did not leave the salon until 5:30 pm when my appointment originally was scheduled to be done around 1:30 pm. At checkout, they didn’t even have a record of my deposit and I had to dig through emails to prove it. My total was supposed to be $124, but I ended up paying over $200 with the added treatment and tip. Again my hair did look great, but a week later it smelled burnt and now I have heat damage in the back. My natural curls are significantly looser and have straight sections. This was the first time I’ve had my hair straightened in three years and I do not put heat on it regularly so can only assume this occurred during my appointment. I was recommended this salon by a friend who has had great experiences so I expected different. The wait time, lack of communication, and damage to my hair makes me feel like this experience was not worth it at all. I won’t be returning.

And I had a lovely experience. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. Even the other clients sitting in the other chairs were delightful. Luba cut my hair. She did a wonderful job. I have received so many compliments this week. I enjoyed every aspect of the experience. I will definitely be back!!

From booking appointments with Jimmy to any possible rescheduling, to the hair services and the stylists Hair &co is topnotch and always the most pleasant experience. Jimmy is an expert and makes everything very easy for the client. My 7 yr old is a fan of Mindy who makes sure every strand for her customer is painstakingly perfect, from the hairwash to the haircuts esp the perfection blowouts after; she enjoys the process thoroughly. I got a blowout from Kathy which was phenomenal as that woman’s sense of humour! My partner had to take me to dinner after -was that good that blowout! I will highly recommend! At every step Jimmy and the whole staff makes sure you are comfortable and at ease. Will absolutely recommend!
