Shes particularly skilled in...Im not sure of the words...asymmetrical cuts, punk-inspired, precision cuts. Ive moved around a lot over the past few years and recently was able to visit her after a few years of living in the Midwest and it was a great pleasure to see her again and enjoy having my hair look great after a long 8 months of growing out a short bob (not cute). The shop is adorable, right on the Ithaca Commons! I also want to give a shoutout to the hair washing sink...easily the most comfortable place Ive ever rested my neck to have a hair wash! She cares so much about her clients comfort that she had it specially made.

Danielle’s attention to detail and her eye for aesthetics are unreal! I know whenever I’m sitting in the chair at Hare & Bristle I’m in good hands and that Danielle is going to really listen to what I want and take her time making me feel like the best version of myself. It’s really clear that Danielle has high standards for her work and knows how to achieve them. I 100% recommend Hare & Bristle for anyone looking to get their hair done.

I just recently started going to her after having the WORST hair experience ever at another salon. She’s helping me get my hair back to where I want it without any drastic changes. Gordon Beck: I asked for a high skin fade on the sides and back but the barber basically just shaved my head up half way and left a hard line between the skin and hair, no fade. After seeing this I asked him to blend it in but he just trimmed above it with scissors and left the line. I had seen other reviews warning people not to ask for fades here, but i assumed that after charging 50 dollars a cut it would be rediculous for the barber not to know how to make a fade. I guess I was wrong.

Lauren Ryan Hamacher: Rose of Transcend Salon is absolutely incredible, and I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Ithaca area! I came in looking to get my hair color fixed from another local hairstylist (not associated with Transcend Salon) as my highlights were far too bright, and showing up different colors in different areas of my hair. Rose took the time to truly understand what I wanted with my color, and really thought through the best solution before working. Seeing my new hair color at the end of my appointment, I knew I would become a client of hers permanently! She did an excellent job, it was exactly what I wanted. She also gave me a cute little bang trim! Aside from her hair skills, Rose is a delightful person and you will love chatting with her as you get your hair done!
