5 /5 Theresa St. John: Awesome place to visit - who hasnt read at least one of his books??? Very small and simple, but wonderful to go inside and stand where he stood, look out the windows where he gazed off into the distance while he wrote about life. Docents share the history from May to October. Hours are posted on the door and website. Cool piece of history on the college graounds.

5 /5 Ravi K Yadav: It’s a humble, historical and inspirational evidence that reflects simplicity. The campus is beautiful and has some very old structures around it. On the other side of the street you get to see new buildings with latest architecture.

5 /5 Jason Clise: Made it to Elmira on a return trip from the Finger Lakes. This University campus is gorgeous and full of beautiful old buildings. This was not the original home for the study but has become its final resting place. It wasnt open the day we visited but I was able to peak in and just loved the decor. I am sure most of it is props and not the real belongings of Twain. I did read in the nearby Hall they have a display of his stuff. This was such an awesome opportunity to peek into the past.

5 /5 Shadra Bruce: This is one of those places that is worth seeing if you are a fan of the author or a literature geek and English major like me. Be sure to walk down around the pond to see the statues of Twain and his wife as well.

We had come at just the right time, the doors to study qere open as historical renovatwra were there to look at and take pictures. Its sits on the old and charing college campus. How cool it was to stand where Mark Twain wrote. We also visited his family grave site.
