nicholas longoni: I moved from another state and I was getting pain management services. I had previous pain management doctors and my neuro send sufficient records to show i needed services and they denied me. First off they never call you back. Second, the woman who answers the phone is very rude and treated me like I was doing something wrong when all I wanted was an explanation and to see if I could send in more records and she wouldn’t even listen to me. I’m on ssdi, I have not been able to work in almost 3 years. I’ve tried every other option and failed so I’m on opioid therapy that has made a significant difference in my life, yet somehow I was not worthy of this place nor was I worthy of a call back, an explanation or to be treated with any kind of decency. Doctors are supposed to help people and people should be treated with respect but this place didn’t get the memo. Please do not give this place your business. Go find people with compassion because if they let that woman who answers the phone work there and she treated me like garbage and she didn’t ever bother to call me back, just think what the doctor would be like.
Richard Langendoerfer: Wow! Dr Schamel is the best. I had to move and came to Watkins Glen. I am very lucky to have found her. Her staff is great also. This doctor is great.
Cassandra Lockwood: If I could give no zero I would, we took my son there to get help with a rash on his butt, we pushed for a swab for strep and they told us and that he had pinworm, got him meds he took them I went crazy cleaning then the rest of my family went on the medicine, mind you no symptoms of pin worm on anyone no itching no worm with a flash light at night. My son rash did not get better took him back four days later as the rash should have been clearing up, they treated us horribly said oh you were just here again told me it was pinworm wanted a swab asked me how could he get strep are you kidding me he is in preschool, the test came back they called me and goes oh it’s showing bacteria but we can not pin point what kind of bacteria so we sending a cream for him to use they couldn’t even pronounce the name of the medicine. Well thanks to my chart I was able to see the test test come to find out my son had strep, this could have been resolved days ago and not had to treat my whole house for pin work and he could have been feeling better was able to get him to his doctor and he had an ear infection on top of it. I will never take my kids back to this place no respect to listen to us and treated us like we were stupid.
LeeAnna: i was there today to get x-rays. for starters the wait for x-rays was ridiculous. then i had to be admitted into the er to hopefully get my foot splinted. i waiting in the waiting room for an hour and a half. got brought back and didn’t even have a room i was in the hallways. then finally i spoke up because my mother was with me and her blood sugar was dropping and we needed to get home so the dr came over and was very rude and just all over a terrible experience. was at the er from 4 to 6:30. that’s insane.
John Imhoff: My dad has been here for about 2-weeks. The care he gets is very good. He is comfortable, clean, interacted with and challenged to try and get better. Very happy with his care.
