Jeff Dur: This is a nice park with beautiful lake view. You will enjoy the view and you will find picnic tables around to rest or have a quick picnic. I didnt see grills there so I dont think this is an option if you are considering that. There is a small lake beach where I saw kids enjoying water with adult supervision, nice entry for kayak and paddles. Overall good experience for family.

Matthew Jones: A nice, small network of trails with a little bit of elevation gain, but not enough to make much of a difference between these trails and completely flat trails. There are multiple interesting landmarks throughout the trails, including a reservoir, lupine fields (an essential plant for the survival of the critically imperiled karner blue butterfly endemic to the Northeast and Great Lakes), a ravine, and others. The trails are wide and generally well-maintained, however, the trail markers could be better. Instead of using plastic reflective markers, they use colored spray paint on the trees. This makes the trail markers easy to miss, although getting lost in these woods isn’t much of a worry given that walking a few minutes in any direction will bring you to a road. There are some wooden signs at certain forks in the trail, but the signs are a bit dilapidated and hard to read.

Anastasiya Keegan: A small local museum. I was here for the first time. Two small rooms with artifacts, a childrens room. Friendly staff. I would like to see modern exhibitions, perhaps this is happening, but we did not see them. Admission is free

Eric Haffner: Stayed at the Gideon Putnam hotel for a conference and had the opportunity to walk the park on more than one occasion. Well-shaded trails throughout and plenty of picnic and gathering areas. I was impressed with the retro feel of Gideon Putnam and the park in general.

Amanda Howles: Love taking my dog for a walk here. Its beautiful any time of year, especially all the architecture. Many views and benches to take a seat. Fresh spring water to drink and cameras hidden up on the bird houses make you feel secure. Its also a great place to go on a run with a variety of loops and trails!

John Kettlewell: Wonderful walks with interesting history to read about along the way. Plus the drive around the park is nice if you dont want to walk, and its a nice bike ride too. Good dog walking as well. Beautiful views out over the Hudson River valley.

Joe Laskowski: Whether you are a history buff or not stop here. Its an old casino turned museum. Its three stories of history. We both found stuff that was interesting to both of us individually. Considering my daughter is not a history fan that is saying a lot. The grounds are beautiful. Pictures inside are by permission only.

Samantha Willner: My daughter just had her 3rd birthday party at the Children’s Museum at Saratoga and it was such a fun, engaging, and wonderful experience! I cannot thank the staff enough for going above and beyond to make my girl’s day special. The educational “dino digging” activity was a huge hit and the kids loved play time at all the unique exhibits.
