1 /5 Aimee Dars Ellis: I was seven minutes late to my appointment with Dr. Yee because the road from my house was down to one lane for tree-trimming and I was unaware of that. I called from the road and the receptionist said to come to the clinic and they would get me checked in. When I arrived, the front desk said I was late and they would have to reschedule me. I had made the appointment a month ago and they would not make any concession or be at all understanding of my situation. This was a first-time patient appointment so I opted to not reschedule and will be going to a different clinic. While I understand that it’s important to be on time due to the cascading impact of late patients, I believe that not allowing any leeway is unnecessarily strict, and they did not at all care that they lost a patient.
