Pamela Fish I needed an emergency appointment for a tooth extraction. The Horseheads office was able to see me the day I called. The only complaint I have about this visit is that the dentist was not a good communicator about what was happening and left the room as soon as he had done all that could be done, stating over his shoulder that he would send a script for pain meds. Strange? Yes. But this appointment turned out to be a bit more than a simple extraction so I can understand his frustration. I still recommend this office.

Jen Cook This has been the ONLY dentist office I feel extremely comfortable at! I have terrible dental anxiety and the entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. They definitely ease your mind and make you feel less anxious. Dr McKee and Dr Chow are absolutely phenomenal a long with the help of the front desk, and dental assistants! 10/10 recommend!!!

Michelle Brooks My X-rays were done professionally, sorry I can’t remember names from today, she explained what she was doing and was pleasant making the experience a good one. The dental hygienist was amazing too. She explained why I was not getting a cleaning today. It was my first visit but was very professional and was able to get me an appointment relatively soon. Sooner than normal. She was bubbly and easy to talk to. She explained why I was using the wrong toothbrush as well. The doc was very personable and professional. The office manager was very polite and professional as well. Thank you for a pleasant experience. I look forward to my next appointment in August. ☺️

Amanda Dieg The hygienist Kristen is the ONLY reason I’ve gone back to Aspen. She is absolutely amazing, and the only person in a dental office to ever make me feel comfortable and have a good experience. The dr is TERRIBLE and has awful bedside manner. I’ve had two very bad experiences with him, so definitely wouldn’t recommend going here for anything besides a cleaning!!

Dominic Corsaro Im sure the dentist and hygienists are good at their jobs. However. The business side of this place, what a joke. Made an appointment for a cleaning, existing patient mind you, 3 month wait. I just needed a cleaning and make sure I didnt have any cavities, nothing else. I arrive for my appointment and of course. Im told I need X-rays and what not that my insurance doesnt cover to the tune of $135 that, up until today. Its cheaper to pay for a cleaning out of pocket at Lalor, than it is to try and use your insurance through these guys unless you have Medicare/aid. If you have commercial insurance youre treated as if they dont want your business. Garbage company.

Christian Corleto Ive only been there for one visit, but the hygienist (Im assuming she was the hygienist) was very sweet. The dentist was awesome as well! They referred me to theyre spot in Binghamton and I have an appointment there later this month!

Tammy S Latham The receptionist was great and was able to get me in for extraction. Dr Sammy was absolutely fantastic! His dental techs were great! I had a reaction to the shot and they were on top of it and took great care of me! Dr Sammy has the best personality to be in this profession!!!!

The assistant Kat was amazing very kind and caring and attentive to her job with the dentist. The receptionist Cindy is the best always very kind worked to get my denial for my crown overturned in which she did. I highly recommend this location if you need any dental care these three ladies will take wonderful care of you.

Danielle Hornsby Genuinely NICE people! Way too often I’ve seen people shamed for not wanting to or being able to visit the dentist as often as they should for whatever reason. It’s so refreshing to not be shamed, to have multiple professionals saying “life happens, we are happy you are here now though, let’s see what we can do to help you”. Every single person I’ve talked to in this office seems to enjoy their job and that speaks volumes about the environment this office creates. Both Rita and Dr Dunn have been absolutely amazing and have been so helpful in the short time we’ve been coming here. We called on the recommendation of a friend and we’re so glad we did.

Gerald Morse My son has been a regular patient here, now also my grandson, and is very pleased with everything about them. This was my first time for a consultation for a mandibular advancement device. Unfortunately Im not eligible due to other dental issues that I was unaware of until this visit. Every aspect of my visit was outstanding. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful with what I needed to do. Jessica, the CDA-Dental Assistant/Sleep Department, was a delight visiting with her and explaining everything about my issues. Unfortunately, this was the only reason that I needed to come here, but, in the event that I need to find another dentist, I hope that they will take me on as a new patient!

The Beermoney Podcast This is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to with extremely professional and knowledgable staff. Theres a reason they keep getting 5 star reviews. Pricing was also extremely fair for the work I need to get done I mean of course this stuff costs an arm and a leg but I have seen a lot worse prices for xrays and in smaller towns. Ill be keeping my whole family here for any work we need done.

Reinhard Moyer I want to take a minute and share with you about my dentist. I have a tooth that was pretty much destroyed by another dentist when I was overseas. I have gone to other dentists here in the states to see if they correct the situation and none of them seem to have a solution. Dr. Minchin on the other hand, used her creativity and artistry to bring that toothpick to life. She formed out a buildup of that tooth to where it has lasted longer than any of the caps after the original one was put on had gotten broken. Dr. Minchin and her staff cared enough to take extra time to come up with a work or solution and made sure that the temporary cap would last because she could at any time be going on maternity leave; which happened to take place. I am so happy that I found her and that I was able to become one of her patients.

Heather Bernas Who smiles when your dentist walks in the room? This girl cuz he is amazing! He is so sweet and I dont ever feel the needle if I need a cavity filled. He was so kind and good to my dad who had ALS and couldnt walk, he would lift him into the chair and even into my moms car! I use to hate going to the dentist but now with this team its a total breeze and I dont ever mind going! If you have any fears at all this is the place to go to! Dr OConnell and his team are AMAZING!!!

Eric Here Dr O’Connell and his staff are wonderful. Let’s face it, no one “likes” going to the dentist but when you have a Dentist who is really good what he does, it removes any potential anxiety. Dr O’Connell is personable, and he makes sure that the experience is as pain free and as worry free as possible. I consider us very fortunate to have the caliber of Dentist in our town that we have in Dr O’Connell. Highly recommended!

Tim Sly Worst place ever that I have ever absolutely ever dealt with. They never ever never answer the phone in the dental clinic. I have driven over an hour twice for appointments and both times they tell me the clinic is closed then they book me out another 5 months. I actually called the able to clinic number and they told me this morning that the clinic was open only for me to drive here to find out that they are not open. Constantly cancel your appointment and do not even call you. Would not ever recommend to anyone. They also do not return phone calls. They tell you that they called and left a message but never did.

Stephen Brown I had a great experience here. Everyone was very friendly and professional, and my hygienist Leah and her assistant (Im sorry, I forgot her name but it might have been Tara) went out of their way to accommodate me.. They were wonderful to deal with and I hope I have them again. For anyone curious, this location is wheelchair accessible. The entrance is at the front left of the building and has an automatic door. There are steps outside but they are for a different part of the building. I didnt have to transfer from my chair but there is a hoyer lift and sling for that if necessary.

Tanya Stooks They dont clean your teeth and if your teeth are damaged they will tell you they are fine. I had damaged my teeth and they said youre fine "go home and eat a donut" I ended up at Rochester emergency clinic and their periodontal team after this visit. I dont recommend anyone to go there. Medicaid actually paid them for nothing! I only put 1 star because I had to.

Susan Elston So far my experience with Southport dental has been amazing . I went from Aspen Dental who treat you like a no one to Southport Dental who have been so amazing with root canals fillings . And I woke up with my front tooth cap broke off I was getting a crown in January but they took me right in and fixed it for me so I was not embarrassed at work. Can’t be greatful enough.

Christy Edkin I have gone here for approximately 6 years when I became disabled and my husband’s job changed and their insurance only covers Aspen Dental and Dr. Tran! We refuse to go to Aspen dental due to previous dealings with our children! Both my husband and I receive our dental care from here. We have found the entire practice to be friendly and caring. We are made aware of the cost of treatment after insurance so we can determine the best time to do the work to fit in our budget.They always ensure the novacaine is fully in effect prior to beginning any fillings and ask that we let them know if it hurts. My youngest daughter, who will be 17 soon, will begin seeing him in May. She had seen a pediatric dentist. I would highly recommend this practice!

Appointment wait time is minimal, staff is wonderful, and dentists are great whether youre enjoying a half hour of stand up comedy with Dr. Shaw (while simultaneously getting a tooth filled, etc.) or youre under the sweet and thorough care of Dr. Billiot. If dentists and procedures make you anxious and any pain is thy enemy, in my experience, Dr. Billiot goes above and beyond to make you comfortable. (That said, Ive never felt any discomfort with Dr. Shaw either but procedures have been relatively minor.) Dr. Billiot recently removed an infected wisdom tooth with zero discomfort, made sure I felt no pain, sweetly talked me through every step, and thoroughly explained after-care. Every mouth is different, but I feared the worst with removal, which is why it ended up infected. Four days later, happy to provide feedback for a great experience.

Even during short period they no longer took my ins I stayed, I would pay cash before I would go any where else. The Dr is above reproach, hes thourgh, Hes kind, generous and very thoughtful. His staff are the best, integrity and quality are job 1 for them. They are helpful and very kind. They work with you on appts. I couldnt ask for a better dental office.

Digital Red Lady over the phone in corning said they would accept payments for service. They do not accept payments at all. Not once did they tell us the total of service until we arrived for the appointment.

Kirsten Barnstead Doctors and nurses, fabulous. Billing department is entirely useless. They said they would submit insurance claim in my behalf. One three occasions over a 6 month period I had to contact them to provide additional information or respond to requests to get my claim processed.

Emily Ann Honestly, they’re pretty scammy. I had a consult, which the doctor didn’t even examine my mouth, and had x rays and spoke to him for a minute. This was end of September, a $260 appointment which they told me was $150. I submitted paperwork to charge insurance and they paid out within a week at the beginning of October. This place didn’t send me an invoice until AFTER they could charge extra at the end of November. They intentionally did this so they could get more money out of it. I was not pleased. Now imagine if they did this with a $4k surgery and they didn’t bill you until they piled on several hundred dollars. Very scam like practices. First and last time I’ll be there. Very deceiving practices.

Lisa Kimball Root canals are not pleasant, but the doctor was wonderful. Only thing I didnt like is that I had to pay for entire procedure and then submit the information to my insurance. Just easier when the office does that. Would go back again if I ever needed to.

Heather Woodruff I had a root canal done, and it broke the next day.. when I called they said to call my denist. I went to my denist and they fixed it. Then while they fixed it- they realized he was so aggresive with the root canal he cracked my tooth.. I paid out of pocket 1500.00 for the root canal... NOW I have to have the tooth pulled at MY dentists office and have an implant put in, for another 2900.00.... I wouldnt step foot back in this office!

Brittney Dexter Would not recommend this dentist office to anyone!! My husband and I went in for a new patient cleaning and the place is disorganized and dirty first of all. Second, the hygienist was not very friendly and the doctor was so fast and acted like he did not have time for his patients. Third, they did not do a new patient cleaning but only did X-rays. They told my husband he has 3-4 cavities and he needed to schedule an appointment ASAP. My husband said that is not possible. We then transferred to Laylor Family Dental who did a THOROUGH cleaning and close to 20 X-rays (which they do for all new patients) and said he has ZERO cavities!! Southport Dental is either 100% DISHONEST or 100% INCOMPETENT!! This place definitely is only there for the money! If your looking for a dentist go to Laylor Family! The nicest people and place I’ve ever been and they care very much about their patients!

Almost 2 years later and Im still shocked at how my sons checkup was over 200$ here..if your considering this terrible dentist office... Call Lalor family dental who will give you complimentary x-rays and trustworthy honest work and prices! Do not make the same mistake I made by giving these crooks money to stay open and rob our community!

Isaac Walker I am not a current patient of this practice but called with a tooth problem and was able to be seen the same day by Dr. Eng and staff. This was after I had called 2 other dentists closer to home, both of whom would not see me for two months because I was not a current patient. Dr. Eng was able to address my problem during the appointment and I feel much better! I couldn’t be happier with the care I received today and with the fact that they were willing to see me on such short notice. This practice is run much more like the small town dentist office that I am used to. The kind that actually cares about people, not like the chain style dentist offices that seem to be more and more common these days. Thank you again to the staff and Dr. Eng.
