Todd Seekircher Absolutely, mind-bogglingly horrible experience. Its almost as if New York Presbyterian is in the business of bad customer experience and PROFIT and zero to do with taking care of peoples health.
1. They are short on primary care physicians
2. Our physician was booking 6+ months out for a physical, went on medical leave, our appointments were canceled with no way to then get our physical unless we switched doctors. Our physician assured us NYP had good "coverage" for her while she was out. NYP would not let another doctor do the appointment unless we formally switched PCPs, at which point we would not be allowed to switch back to our original PCP.
3. When trying to get a (long time) prescription re-filled while our doctor was out, NYP wanted to charge for a telehealth visit, but also NOT allow that doctor to do the annual physical
4. Heard, through the grapevine, not from NYP, that our PCP was no longer on leave, but had left the practice. Called to try to get a new doctor at this location- after 20 minutes on the phone booking dates in July and October because (shocker!) this new doctor is also out on medical leave until then, I was told we would have to have a preliminary "intro" visit with this new doctor because we are new patients, even though Ive been going to this doctors office my whole adult life. Oh, and this intro visit would have a copay charge attached to it.
5. I could continue further but will instead spend the time researching other practices to find a new PCP

Linda Roca Review Title: Disappointed with Service and Lack of Empathy
I recently had an appointment today at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley - Endocrinology - Cold Spring and unfortunately had a very negative experience. I was running late due to unexpected contractions and, despite my best efforts, couldn’t call ahead because I was driving. When I arrived, the receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful, which only added to my stress during an already difficult time.
I’ve been feeling unwell for the past three weeks and needed to see my regular doctor, who doctor santos she didn’t want see because I was late however I been horrible unwell. After they made other appointments for November 20 2024 I hoped that the staff would be understanding of my situation, but instead, I felt dismissed and unvalued as a patient.
I live 40 minutes away, and I chose this facility hoping for better care, but my experience was far from what I expected.
I would not recommend NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley - Endocrinology - Cold Spring based on my experience. It’s essential for healthcare providers to show empathy and understanding, especially in situations where patients are in distress.
I hope they can improve their service and treatment of patients in the future.( however I know they won’t improve their services)
