1 /5 Debbie Scroggins: I made an appt with Dr. Karan Johar for Mon, Sept. 23, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. for pain management. I was coming from Williamsburg, Brooklyn and spent a great deal of time getting there. I was in a car accident in May 2023 and had a great deal of injuries, including a right ankle joint damaged and my back and neck with nerve damage and herniated discs. And now my left knee is messed up(knee joint effusion and synovitis, a large oblique tear, erosion, etc) from the left leg picking up the slack from the right ankle joint. I’m constantly in excruciating pain and can’t walk good at all. I walk with the aid of crutches it’s so bad. I’ve been trying to get a pain management doctor but haven’t had no luck. Because they mostly want to just shoot you up with cortisone shots and I thought Dr. Johar was different. Boy was I wrong. I had recently gotten a letter from Healthcare about a data breach of all my personal info being compromised. The night before going to the appt there was a bunch of papers I had signed and filled out except for the HIPAA form, it had wanted my Soc.Sec # and that’s not needed. The other form I didn’t sign because it was in a languages I didn’t understand. While at the doc office I spoke with the check in girls and then the doctor about signing a paper in other languages. They said If I didn’t sign it I couldn’t see the doctor, so Reluctantly I signed it, they also said I would get a copy of it in English and the other languages . I waited for another 40 min, to see the doc then the check in girl tells me she have to give me another appt, they getting ready to close. After me filling those papers out, them lying to me about signing a paper I didn’t want to sign and that I would have to sign it to see doctor. She then told me they couldn’t print it out now. So they just stole my information and gave me no service. I wasted time and money getting there and before I left I asked can I used the bathroom which was where. the doc office was in the rear of office. I asked him to look at me, on these crutches, (he already had my MRI’s from earlier) “you not gonna see me” I said. He tells me I have a patient to see, I said I was here before this man, they had just sent in his office. I couldn’t believe how rude and unapologetic this doctor was, as if he was punishing me because I didn’t wanna sign the form in some language I didn’t understand. This was just cruel, I was in so much pain and this doctor couldn’t give a crap. He didn’t care. I went to the bathroom and when I came out they were closing up. Practically throwing me out. I’ve never ever had someone who calls themselves a doctor do this to me. I would never recommend anyone to go to this doctor. He’s a cruel CREEP. And I didn’t appreciate wasting my time, MY MONEY to get there and giving my information and signing paperwork for NOTHING! Most UNPROFESSIONAL DOCTOR EVER!!!!!!! Don’t waste your time.
