malak Updated 4/16: after numerous calls I was able to get through to someone for a service completed in January. They are still trying to get paid out by both my insurance and me. This place is simply not worth the headache. paid upfront for services and was reassured that I would receive a refund for the portion that my insurance covers. This was back in January and I have received no refund and no communication about when those funds would be returned to me even though I received the info from my insurance which says that I only had to pay a 1/3 of what was taken from me. Super shameful and would never recommend or return here.

Jose Benitez Great service! I was able to come in on the weekend and receive a full, comprehensive treatment plan. It’s convenient that they have both general dentists and specialists available in the same office, which really helps streamline the care process. I also appreciate their extended hours—opening early in the morning and staying open later in the evening makes it much easier to schedule appointments around work. The dentists and staff are all very kind and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Gave them the benefit of the doubt so I called back, the same receptionist tried to pretend we weren’t just on the phone but this time they don’t take my child’s insurance. They are listed on my insurance providers website but I always ask just in case the info is incorrect. Such a weird interaction. Probably dodged a bullet.

Zeba Khalidi Gentle Dental Care has been one of the best dental offices I have visited. I came here as a last minute emergency that was needed for my root canal. My insurance is 1199 and not many people are open on weekends with that. This place was my go to during an emergency. I had pain the night before, called the next morning and they took me in immediately. Everyone working here has been so friendly and treat you like a member of the family. I’m commuting all the way from Long Island to come here but it’s completely worth it! If you really want someone to care about you, your teeth, pain or problem this is your go to. The Dentist himself is also one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. This is something you really need especially from a healthcare provider. Highly recommend Gentle Dental Care! Thank you!!

I had a dental emergency and needed to have a tooth extracted. They were able to perform an immediate implant! The process was challenging, but thanks to Dr. Stanley and a very kind elderly staff member, I now have a perfect dental implant. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Eveh AVOID THIS LOCATION!! My sister was there today and had a nightmare experience with the two front desk girls, one of them named Stephanie. Unprofessional, shouting racial, discriminatory names and threatening to leak her personal information chart. Violating her HIPPA rights. She was so traumatized that she did not have any work done at that location and will never return there. NO working elevators. Just absolutely horrible experience. No one should ever visit a medical facility, while in excruciating pain, and have to deal with this level of distress and trauma. Especially during the holidays. One week away from Christmas. We will never forget this experience. If you look at the attached photos, these two girls look unhinged and evil.

tony rivera At first not gonna lie, I dreaded even stepping foot into the place (still do!) . This isn’t because of their service though so you good on that, I simply have a fear of the dentist (like most normal people!) I will say, I don’t really like doing these reviews but if it will make you feel at ease, this dentist office really did make me feel like I’ll be okay and I was. Root canal was a success and I only shed one tear (from my own fear alone). Great Great work! Good looks for the bless up!

Amy Lee I came here for convenience but I realize they’re not that great. Anytime I have a toothache they never look into the issue. They vaguely say oh it’s probably nothing or they can’t give me any straight forward answers. They were super nice the first time and asked me to write a review and after they weren’t so nice. One of them was kinda grumpy and aggressive with my cleaning.

Angie Y Looks nice on the outside, but theyre really out for your money. I called to make sure they took my insurance (they claimed that they did but when it came time to pay, I found out they werent even in my network). While I appreciated the detailed examination at the time. I dont appreciate the set up that comes with it. I came in to get a tooth pulled because the name assured me it wouldnt be painful (it wasnt). What i didnt expect or ask for was a whole invisalign consultation and 3D render (which is to set you up into getting the treatment done). Had I known that they would file these claims against my insurance without my knowledge, I wouldnt have came. I definitely wont be coming back. Paid double the amount I normally would have to pay to get a tooth pulled.

Jacob Ramey I will admit, I was apprehensive at first, I hadn’t been to a dentist in a while and part of me didn’t want to know if I had a bunch of cavities or perhaps something more serious. I had also read reviews here some of which were quite negative, and others stating that they didn’t take PPO and so I was hoping they would take my insurance. But after three visits I can safely say this is a very nice dentist office. Reception was very nice and friendly, and assured me that my insurance was indeed covered. They took meticulous X rays, and my dental hygienist was thorough about cleaning my teeth. I met with Dr Park and he seemed very kind and knowledgeable, he showed me my X rays and where I needed to get some spots taken care of, and also explained how to go about flossing and taking care of my teeth, as well as answering any questions I had. I went back a few days later to get some spots filled and Dr Park and his assistant were great, I genuinely didn’t feel a thing and my teeth feel much better now. Dr Park is a professional and knowledgeable dentist and he really knows what he’s doing. All in all, reading some of these reviews that were negative made me nervous so I wanted to address them directly. Yes they do take PPO plans, but as always ask the front desk ahead of time to ensure that you are covered if you have any concerns. No, they didn’t try to pressure me in any way to get any specific treatment, but it is always the right of the patient to refuse a treatment, so the reviews which stated “they billed my insurance for something without asking me for permission”, it is up to us to ask questions and communicate with the staff so that we don’t get any surprises. Definitely was not my experience, I would definitely take some of those reviews with a grain of salt. The staff were nice and it was actually the first good dentist experience I have had in recent memory. I had a very positive experience over the course of three appointments, and if you are looking for a nice, clean, friendly dental office this is a great choice and I would definitely recommend them.

He took the time to explain my mom options and we felt confident in his recommendations. The procedure was quick and painless, and we thrilled with the results!

Lesie I called to make an appointment since I don’t think their online email form is working. I was able to get an appointment within 2 weeks. Front desk was very cordial. They saw me right away. The hygienist was very careful with the cleaning; he did a superb job. My dentist was Dr. Huang. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns. They are conservative in terms of cavity fillings, which is great in my opinion (no unnecessary work). I would definitely come back again.

DJ Jay Russian I visited this dental facility with my mothers recommendation for a first-time consultation and emergency cleaning, the front desk staff were clear and precise with instructions with regards to filling out essential forms before the hygienist/dentist called me in to perform the cleaning. The cleaning did not take long and was nearly painless, neither did it involve anesthesia. Cleanings and root planing/deep cleaning are two different procedures and sometimes completed in not one but two visits. Professional and excellent service overall, I have not experienced such confidence in visiting this dental office and I have always feared dental work. I have worked with several dentists over the years, and nothing has compared to the effectiveness and expertise of the staff at EC Dentistry. If you have phobia of dentists, I would definitely give this one a try! I will be back again for a couple more visits to take care of these painful toothaches I have been enduring due to horrendous and careless work done by other dentists. Wait times were not too long either! This office is located in Rennaissance Tower near Flushings bustling Main Street donned the Chinatown of Queens, near plenty of bus routes and the 7 subway line. Habiba S I’ve had a few visits to this clinic now, and each one has been better than the last. The staff is not only professional but genuinely kind, creating a calm, welcoming environment from the moment you walk in. Sophia, the hygienist, gave one of the most thorough yet gentle cleanings I’ve ever had, truly meticulous. Doctor was equally impressive; he walked me through my treatment plan in detail, patiently answered all my questions, and didnt make the appointment feel rushed. He used laser for 2 of my fillings, and it was completely painless and over before I knew it; honestly better than any fillings I’ve had in the past. Highly recommend this clinic if you want care that’s both advanced and thoughtful!

Michael Spott Hygienist was great, cleaning experience was good. It’s when the dentist came in, did not look at my teeth, just a high tech 3-d picture. First time he recommended $9000 worth of braces (I said know no), second time he said I needed $8000 worth of crowns, again he just looked at the 3D pics. I have seen 2 dentists since who said my dental work was fine, no caps required. Steinway seems to really push extra work that insurance covers but may not really be needed. Feels scammy.

Sharon Guzman Was excited to visit this place because of the good reviews. They had me waiting over an hour and eventually I had to leave because I didn’t expect to be at the dentist all day and had prior engagements with my child. The lack of accommodations to notify people coming in that they’re backed up by an hour is ridiculous and shows no consideration to their clients or their time. They put me on hold for over 5 minutes once in the day time once in the evening and never took me off hold so I’d have to hang up up call back and then they would help me immediately. Meaning they forgot they placed me on hold and never took me off twice.

JULIE I wouldnt recommend this dentist simply because of the front desk staff. They are discriminatory. They try to double dip and charge insurance and the patient. Their behavior is extremely unprofessional. This office needs a new front desk staff. I see the dentist getting reported to the consumer and dental board because of this incompetent staff. Its truly a shame that people still behave this way in a professional setting thinking there wont be repercussions. Toying with consumers health is not to be taken lightly.
